Ψησταριά Ιωάννινα Άνθραξ Grill — Restaurant in Ioannina Municipality

Was there for lunch with my wife in a daytrip to Ioannina. I had seen the reviews and decided to have a meal there.

Pros: The service was very good, thanks to our waiter Panajotis. The food was very tasty and fresh, the owner seemed to be around supervising the work which is a good thing. The view was amazing.

Suggestions: as i have worked in kitchen - the dako salad was missing cucumbers and onions, a couple of more olives would be better and a little bit of more oregano. The grilled vegetables were very good but i would have loved also grilled onion among them. Souvlakis were perfect. I dont really like places where they brink something on your table that you didnt order, but it seemed usual approach in Ioannina for the water, i would have preferred it not to be brought unless i ask for it or unless its on the house.

However as the 5 stars show, i would return to this place...

Very basic. All in all, long waiting to be served, we ordered a chicken filet, among other things, and they brought us an opened chicken leg. After we complained, the waiter said that it is a leg and that is what they have. They didn't inform us while we ordered it, though, and they charged us for a chicken filet. As my daughter couldn't eat the leg, we ordered a chicken skewer. After a 20 min wait, we said we wanted to cancel it and get the bill and the waiter informed us that this can't be done and that we had to take it with us if we were in a hurry (!).. I guess there is always a first time for everything. We are not going there ever again for sure. Too much noise inside and outside. Lightly fried potatoes, mediocre taste, small portions . The position of the grillery is the only thing that gives credit...

Εχω παει στης 4 Αυγουστου 2020 σε αυτο το μαγαζι για μεσημεριανό.. Ολα ηταν τελεια. Βασικα Τα Γιάννενα μοιάζει με το Αργυρόκαστρο. Εδω φαίνεται σαν να εισαι στην Αλβανια..Νιωθεις περήφανος για τους Αλβανούς που εκαναν ιστορια. Και με ολα αυτα πως να μην απολαυσεις το φαγητο που σου σερβιρουν με ευγενεια

I went to this Rotisserie on August 4, 2020 for lunch .. Everything was perfect. Basically Ioannina looks like Argyrokastro. Here it looks like you are in Albania..You feel proud of the Albanians who made history. And with all this, how can you not enjoy the food that is served to you...
