Lemonis Bakery — Restaurant in Kassandra Municipality

I am from the UK (and an avid baker) and I have yet to go to a bakery as good as this one in my own country or in other countries I have visited. We stayed in the hotel next door and not a single day went by where we did not visit this bakery. From sandwiches and fresh bread to savoury pastries and patisserie to baklava…everything was simply delicious. Open nearly all day- there was something to buy at any time of day. We simply LOVED coming here. There is a nice outdoor area to sit and they also sold coffee and cold drinks too. My favourite was the spinach and cheese pastry, and their ham/cheese sandwich with fresh salad. Wonderful friendly staff who all spoke English. A true highlight of our trip...

I recently visited Lemonis Bakery in Chaniotis and I must say, I was quite disappointed with my experience. The freddo cappuccino I ordered was insipid, unappetizing and almost disgusting, which was a surprise considering I generally enjoy their coffee at other locations. Additionally, the patties, which I usually love, were in a poor shape, split in two in the middle. It was quite disheartening to see the quality lacking in this particular branch. While I appreciate the chain of bakeries and have had positive experiences elsewhere, I cannot recommend this specific location. I have visited this establishment many times, but I am really convinced that the food offered there is not as good as it is presented. In fact, many of the products are the same flavor made in different shapes with slight changes. Also, a lot of the food doesn't taste as good as it is presented or has already formed an opinion. Of course, the rating only suggests that you can find another place for breakfast, mainly because of the opportunity to try good food, but due to the fact that this establishment is located in a good location, people visit it and other places are not so seen to be assessed...
