We had our dinner in this restaurant and we were very dissapointed. We ordered spaghetti carbonara, honey chicken and a fish tray for 2. I will write my thoughts about each one: Carbonara - although had no pancetta, had only simple ham, the food was very tasty. That is the only good thing. Honey chicken - 17 euro!- an ordinary taste, nothing special, the meat was tough and found bone in it; no quality for this price; the biggest dissapoitment was the fish tray - 38 euro- a normal price, but for what? A small dorada, 2 small pieces of squaid, 2 fingers of octopus, 2 shrimps, and...half of something (i was told the sword fish finished and they put half of another fish but in fact was the head of a big fish and some bones...you can see in pictures. So 100 euro for this food, 1 aperol, 1 water and 2 cokes and left hungry. So, never again in this restaurant
Reading your answer, i noticed that giving a fish head and almost only bones to your guests, is fine. Keep it this way, there are a lot of costumers. Everyone of us should learn from the others to improve the...
Read moreMy family recently dined at the 12 Gods but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. I initially opted for the sardines but they weren't available and so I chose the sea bream and vegetables instead. The sea bream was very tasty but the vegetables were awful - broccoli and cauliflower which was overcooked, washed out and almost certainly frozen. My wife chose squid and potatoes and received a plate of dry and shrivelled squid with what appeared to be deep fried crisps. The presentation was grim with no mayonnaise or anything else at all on the plate. We also went with the lentil salad, which was ok, but lacked anything to make it stand out - it was really quite bland. We ate at three of the restaurants in Sivota and the 12 Gods was definitely the most disappointing. The complementary bread on arrival isn't...
Read moreIt's rare you find a place that does everything well. But here it is!! Great location by the water, plenty of choice on the menu from light to hearty - which they're very open to tweaking with any dietary requirements or preferences, which is to say their service is excellent! The food is superb, well presented and delicious - we ended up eating breakfast, lunch and dinner during our holiday and enjoyed it all. Neither did it break the bank! And what an efficient team of super helpful and friendly people, all working seamlessly together. Service often let's a place down, but these guys have totally nailed it, whilst retaining that family run vibe. It's a seriously smart operation. If you're in Lefkada, definitely find time to check it out, Sivota is a gorgeous place to spend time.
Well done guys, thanks for a great night (and lunch and...
