I wrote this review about two years ago, and I have visited Yianna's place many times since. I changed nothing, because everything I wrote when I first met Yianna is as good as it was then. Two years ago I wrote:
We sat on the water and ordered the food. We asked for Fava and the waitress told us that there's no Fava but something with Chickpeas. So we ordered it. When it arrived we didn't think we would love it THAT much. But it was SO GOOD we cleared the plate very fast. With very good Greek Pitta bread. Then we asked for some Greek salad. It arrived with a large block of Fetta cheese over it, and we dug in to it. Great vegetables, great cut, great Feta, great olives... I don't remember me enjoying a Greek salad as much! Then came the food. The real thing. My wife ordered the pasta Bolognese and I went for the Lamb Kleftiko on rice. They were so good that there was silence over the table... we were busy eating. To sum it up, every bite was great, the service was great and the prices were fair. Next time - we will surely return, and hope there will be a table for us :)
After visiting the place for 3 years, I keep my...
Read moreThe place was more than half empty but the "lady" there turned us away with the excuse that our souvlaki order will take more than an hour. Another family of friends tried 20 min later and said they are ready to wait the 1 hour, but the owner told them they do not offer takeaway. Seems like they do not like to cater to Greeks. They can scam the foreigners more easily is seems to leave more money behind. We ate at Tavern Oddyseas just 100m away and the service and experience was the complete opposite! Not worth your visit, the owner apparently only cares about money and was totally rude (talked very curtly to us while not bothering to look at us when we asked if we could sit down with 2 families). Just as a note: we came to the island with 2 sailing boats but Syvota is just a big marina now - you cannot see the sea anymore, just boats moored on countless floating piers, so never again judging from the whole experience. Better spend your...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant many times during our stay in Lefkada — it quickly became our favorite place. The food was always fresh, delicious, and very reasonably priced. You really get great value here, with generous portions and authentic local flavors.
The owner, who also works as the waitress, made the experience unforgettable. She was incredibly kind and welcoming, always smiling and making sure we felt at home. She even took care of the local animals around the restaurant, which really showed her big heart.
We were also allowed to fish nearby, and she regularly brought us bread to use as bait — such a thoughtful gesture! On top of that, she often surprised us with a shot “on the house” after our meals, which made us feel even more like part of the family.
This is more than just a place to eat — it’s a place that feels like home. We highly recommend it to anyone...
