Avra Taverna — Restaurant in Lefkada Municipality

This taverna is what you expect to find when you travel to the Greek islands. It is a traditional family owned laidback taverna on the beach, surrounded by nature and magnificent views of the beach, the small islands, and the Greek mainland as a stunning backdrop. The food was mediocre but was still pretty expensive compares to similar restaurants on the area.

The restaurant looks nice and is on a beach, but there is a major bird problem. The birds try to eat directly from the tables and are extremely aggressive disrupting the dinner in non-minor way. The waitress replied to our concerns with "Its the nature, there is not much I can do".

I would not recommend as there are plenty of better options near by for cheaper, but if the views are what you are looking,...

We arrived for dinner. The location is amazing, no music and the sounds of the sea make it great to have a conversation. Food was mediocre at best, starters were something to forget about, but the main courses were okay. We only got one candle (for the whole table of 5) so eating the fish was somewhat difficult.
