Íkaros — Restaurant in Lefkada Municipality

Came here with my family for a drink after a nice day in the city. All 13 of us had only 1 drink each and when we tried to order one more drink the server told us that after something unexpected that they couldn’t make us another drink. After paying our bill and finishing our drinks around 10 minutes later we noticed he served a new table drinks. So we asked why we couldn’t have another drink which the owner came over and started yelling at us that “our people weren’t welcome” and he assumed we were Jewish by making a “we must be from Israel” comment. He threatened to call the police on us after we asked for an explanation of why he lied about closing his bar. He proceeded to yell at us, insult us and take everything from our table. We did nothing but order drinks with our family and kids and pay our bill. His verbal attack on us came out of nowhere. I am not Jewish but I can only assume he doesn’t like Jewish people and attacked us because he assumed we were from Israel. I have confirmed my suspicions with the other 1 star reviews mentioning the same thing.

Do not come here unless you want to be yelled at for giving this guy business. Why have a business targeted towards tourists if you do not like having diversity in your guests. Wish I read the reviews...

Following on from Fionas review earlier today which we witnessed. we Had breakfast here this morning, food was fine and waitress was pleasant however to experience was not great at all. I have never experienced the owner of a restaurant verbally attack a customer quite as bad as I witnessed this morning. A returning customer of over 10 years asked if the music could be lowered due to hearing difficulties which resulted in the owner hollering abuse at this customer in front of the whole restaurant refusing them any service shouting for them to leave, following her continuing to hurl abuse as she was trying to leave. Absolutely gobsmacked to say to least. We immediately asked for the bill and left as everyone in the restaurant felt so uncomfortable. We found the lady and made sure she was OK. Rude owner - kicked us out without serving. We had taken a table after someone had left. Had to wait for a few minutes for friends to join. The owner didn't like us waiting and told to leave. When asked Why, he made an excuse that it was reserved, even though it wasn't when he first came around. Probably thought there was only two of us and he wanted more people per table (we were waiting for more friends to join in a few moments). Owner was so rude and aggressive, even said he would call police - to which we said "Fine, do it". He even started using his hands to make us physically leave...
