🌊 A Very Bad Experience — I Do Not Recommend This Beach Bar Anymore
I had visited NV Beach Bar 10 years ago. Back then, it was a fantastic place. You could feel the positive spirit of doing business — it came directly from the owner, who didn’t allow any employees to reserve umbrellas or sunbeds for anyone in particular. The staff were polite and professional.
Fast forward to today, July 16, 2025, I went there again with my wife and children, full of excitement. As soon as we entered, we were approached by a man with long hair tied back, who looked very angry for some unknown reason. He said the first row of sunbeds costs €40, and the others €20, but since we had 2 children, we were told we needed to rent two umbrellas. I politely declined, saying I would stay at the bar and have coffee, and that I didn’t need a sunbed. Apparently, their policy doesn’t allow that.
Later, our children went to sit at a table and ordered juice and coffee. The same man came back — still angry — and told us we weren’t allowed to sit at the bar tables either if we didn’t have sunbeds.
At that point, we gathered our things and decided to leave, because the situation was extremely stressful.
Another unpleasant surprise: we were told the umbrella was €20, but when we went to pay, they charged us €25.
As we were leaving, a very polite young waiter ran after us. He was visibly upset about what had happened and offered to refund the money or invited us to stay, as an apology. But we had already made up our minds to go.
Later, a manager came out, stating that these were the bar’s current policies.
Honestly, I strongly advise any tourist to avoid this beach bar if they don’t want to deal with stress and disappointment. It’s a scandal, especially because I had gone there with such high hopes — unaware that management had changed.
If the owner wants to hear what happened in full detail, I am...
Read moreTerrible unprofessional and rude! I ve been coming to this place for over 6 years and what used to be a cozy nice place has turned now into a trap to be avoided… it is run by rude and poorly mannered stuff, the especially funny thing being the “manager” guy having an unfounded god complex.. they have sectioned the beach in half, with the upper sunbed half costing 20€ a pair and the other half 45€, a radical increase in pricing since last year (with no service upgrade to match). Moreover, the staff literally kick people off sunbeds, even elderly, especially elderly, in the rudest way if they have the audacity to sit (and pay) for two sunbeds while being only one person..Awful handling and awful follow up! Dears, if you aspire to become an upper class, sought after place you do so by the services you provide, not by running this place with rude people and like a cash cow… and you’re failing miserably!
EDIT: As the days go by, more sunbeds are “reserved” for 45€, leaving at 20€ only the ones where someone was already sitting on (less than 10% of the establishment) and throwing away people’s towels from the ones a person was not on at the moment. Opportunistic wannabes! I am sure though that this poor handling translates also to other aspects of their management and business and the relevant services and authorities will catch...
Read moreVery poor service. We brought bag of chips, and one of waitor came, and told us that our food is not allowed. I asked him why? He told me that it is. I told him that I don't understand why chips would not be allowed. I understand that your own drinks and food are not allowed, but for chips, lollypops, onda snacks for kids to ban bringing is foolish. Later, other guy came, and told us that our drinks are not allowed (we bring with us one can of Coca Cola, because there is no sign that it's not allowed), only from bar (we are previously ordered 2 coffees and one juice from the bar). I told him that that is ok, but I do not understand why we can't eat our chips. He told me that for chips is not problem. All in all very poor service....
