Polyzos — Restaurant in Meteora Municipality

Our large group of ladies visited this restaurant two days ago. We were promised an individual dinner plate per person. Because it was a fasting day, most everyone wanted squid. The server was VERY impolite when he got to our table. He said there wasn't enough squid for everyone and he yelled at us. We asked for something else and he continued to be very rude. Do we ordered some chicken. We had a small bottle of soda water and he charged 15 euros for the plate and 2 euros for the soda. They did provide live music, which was very good. I doubt that we will visit here again because they didn't provide a suitable dinner for the price they charged. And they must learn to be moe Polite. If we ordered straight off the menu, the charge would be less and we would order whatever salad we wanted and appetizer. Which, by the way, was nothing more than half an eggplant fried and a thin slice of cheese for four people. Plus a charge of 2 euros for a 120 ml bottle of soda water is ridiculous. And if the restaurant decided to give five free meals to the drivers, then the restaurant should be professional enough to absorb that cost and not divide it amongst the customers.

Thank you and sorry that I had to go into so much detail. But with 17 euros we could have gone to a five star hotel restaurant and had better food and definitely better and...

We recently dined at Polyzos Taverna, and while the service was excellent, the overall experience left much to be desired. The staff was kind, attentive, and quick, even anticipating our need for a baby chair before we thought of it. This level of service was truly appreciated.

However, the portions were disappointing. The plates came with basically no salad, just a small spoonful of rice, and very few potatoes. We ordered extra potatoes, but they were barely enough for one person. The meat portions, according to our family who had been there before, were significantly smaller than what they remembered. Additionally, the bread served at the table was meager, with just a few pieces.

The steak was overly salty, likely left too long in the marinade. This may have been a mistake, but it also felt like it could have been intentional to encourage more drink orders. Upon sitting down, we were served a bottle of water, which we later found out cost 2 euros. This was a bit frustrating, especially considering that, not long ago, Greek tavernas typically offered free water and even complimentary fruits or dessert.

It’s clear that portions are shrinking while prices either stay the same or increase. We paid 80 euros for our meal, and to be honest, it didn’t feel worth it. While the service was lovely, the overall value for money was...

Κυριε ιδιοκτητη του "Πολυζος",φαινεται οτι η αγενεια,η ειρωνια και ο εγωκεντρισμος ειναι η πολιτικη του καταστηματος σας.....Ειμαι απο την παρεα του γκρουπ, που ο κακότροπος σερβιτορος, μας εκανε να φυγουμε (εξι ατομα) .Οι εκδρομεις κυριε ιδιοκτητη,ειναι ανθρωποι που φευγουν για λιγο απο τις δουλειες τους και την καθημερινοτητα τους και πανε με τις οικονομιες τους και οτι απομενει απο τις μισθοδοσιες τους και τις συνταξεις τους, να περασουν για λιγο ομορφα ,για να παρουν δυναμη ,να συνεχισουν την.καθημερινοτητα τους.....που παει να πει, ηρθαμε με πολυ καλη διαθεση και μετα απο εναν πολυ ωραιο καφε στο Μετσοβο, σερβιρισμενο απο υπεροχους ανθρωπους και μας χαλασατε την διαθεση, κυριε ιδιοκτητη....Καλο το παραμυθι σας ,αλλα δεν ειχε δρακο .....Δεν υπηρχε ξανενα τραπεζι ρεζερβε και ειστε και ψευτης, διοτι ο σερβιτορος μας ειπε ,πως δεν μπορουμε να κατσουμε ,γιατι δεν μπορει να κανει τον γυρω του μαγαζιου για να μας σερβιρει, ενω η πορτα ηταν διπλα ακριβως ....και με θρασος μας ζητησε να κατσουμε εκει που θα μας υποδεικνυε αυτος....Αντι να δημιουργειτε εντυπωσεις, ζητηστε και καμια συγνωμη δεν κανει κακο ....να φαμε θελαμε ,κυριε ιδιοκτητη και τιποτα αλλο....Ειδα και τις απαντησεις που δινετε σε αλλους δυσαρεστημενους...και καταλαβαινω πως ειστε ετοιμος.για αντιπαραθεση με τον πελατη.....δεν ηρθαμε.για να ανταγωνιστουμε μαζι σας, ηρθαμε να περασουμε ωραια και μας χαλασατε την διαθεση μας, χωρις να σας δωσουμε καμενα δικαιωμα....δεν ειμαστε φραστικοι εκτελεστες οπως γραφετε...την αληθεια γραφουμε, για να σας εχουν κατα νου και οι επομενοι εκδρομεις....δεν ειναι κακο να μαθαινει ο κοσμος ποσο κακο κανετε στον τουρισμο μας και τον εξωτερικο και τον εσωτερικο κυριε ιδιοκτητα ,αλλοτριωμενε απο το χρημα....Δεν νιωσαμε θιγομενοι (οπως γραφετε ) και φυγαμε,γιατι δεν καναμε κατι .....εσεις μας θιξατε και φυγαμε γιατι μας προσβαλλατε τα μαλα ....Φανταζομαι οτι ολοι εχουν βγαλει τα συμπερασματα.τους...δεν σας ενδριαφερουν τα λαθη σας,γιατι δεν εχετε σκοπο να γινετε καλυτεροι.....λυπαμαι που αντιμετωπιζετε τους πελατες σας ,σαν ενα τιποτα .....και ντροπη σας που κανατε τον κοπο να μπειτε στο ιντερνετ να μας μαλωσετε να μας διαψευσετε και να πουλησετε...
