The lobster tragedy. My friends and I went to this place for lunch. It was packed (a good indication). They had a table that was reserved, and another that was about to lose the shade it was under. The manager of the place was kind enough to set up a table for us at the entrance of the place, small but a table. Looking at the menu, one of my friends told my other friend (we were 3) “They have you’re lobster pasta on the menu”, suddenly and like a genie the manager was standing right there next to us, telling us how very unhappy he was with our table and asked please come to the reserved table, I want you guys to have the best because you deserve the best was what he said. Now sitting at our new once reserved table right by the sea, we ordered numerous plates to try including the lobster pasta. While waiting for the food and chatting with the manager, I jokingly told him I thought this table was reserved, he replied by saying I can tell a good customer and I don’t want to lose you, I jokingly replied you mean smell, and we both laughed at that. The food arrives and I really can’t criticise the food it was nice, now waiting for the grand finale, the lobster. The waiter arrives with a lobster held high over his head, the glorious lobster has finally arrived it made heads turn looking at this magnificent dish. As the waiter is handing out the shell crushers we asked if he could kindly deshell it for us which is common in places if you don’t want to get your hands dirty. He replied of course but I have to take it back to the kitchen, 10 minutes later he comes back with only the lobster shell and the meat is all stolen they took all the meat of the lobster, nothing from the claws nothing from the tail just 60 gms (.132lbs) out of a 1kg+ (2.2 lbs) lobster(90€). How shameful. We were very disappointed and just wanted to leave we didn’t want to have pasta that smells like lobster. The waiter however after serving the plate performed a magic trick and disappeared, We didn’t stay too long we just asked for the bill should’ve complained but didn’t I was to upset they ruined what we thought would be a spectacular time. Since the manager had a good sense of smell he should’ve paid attention to what kind of service his waiters were performing. I personally will not go back to that place, they can have...
Read moreI recommend you go to the next door restaurant if you want a table by the sea and avoid Dromaki sadly. I’m from the island and decided to go here for a special meal with my family who are locals. I’ve never experienced such an arrogant and rude waiter. From the beginning of the meal the waiter was patronising with my mother when she asked what are the specials, he responded “I’ve already told you” which even if he had it was a very rude response but in this case he had never. We then proceeded to order, one of the party asked for moussaka and he said it was a ‘tourist’ dish, which was pretty insulting to our guest. Three of the party chose a traditional Greek fish dish which he commented “good choice” however when the dishes arrived it was not what we ordered and a completely different dish which was not even on the menu. The waiter was adamant we had ordered the fish they brought us but when we asked for the menu for him to point out where it was, he couldn’t. He then admitted they didn’t have the dish we wanted. To also top it off, we ordered starters which arrived in dribs and drabs and coincided with our main course. The manager had to intervene, and ban the waiter from coming to our table. The manager offered us to order something else off the menu, but at this point 2 of our party had already eaten.
Positives were the setting as we had a beautiful table by the sea. The manager was also really accommodating after all the mistakes and brought out wine, fruit...
Read moreThe food was edible, but I ordered lamb and it tasted like pork. Unfortunately that was the only taste I have felt. It was swimming in fat and the portion was also not a great size. To top the experience, they bring you some almost dry bread with olive and some water. They make you wait an hour for your tasteless food and at the end they make you pay 4,6€ for the water and some bread that you never ordered. Absolute BS and at the end they look into your eye and ask you if you want to leave a tip lmao. The only positive that I can say is that the view is perfect, but you might as well go and sit to another place with the same view and you might end up being...
