An absolutely delightful evening. A short uphill walk from the centre of Elounda (some customers took a taxi). The way is signposted and the effort is well worth it. The views are fantastic. The welcome and the service were exceptional. The host was more than generous, not only with her time but also with little tasters and a couple of aperitifs. I tried four of the numerous ales available while my wife had sangria, all were good. We also ate while we were there and the food was delicious. I must admit to getting carried away with the ordering, at which point the waiter exclaimed "No, too much" and advised me to order less. Some things are worth the effort! Yes, you can get an ice cold lager, overlooking the harbour. We've all wanted and deserved it. for walking along the seafront, stopping in countless gift shops, for the best/cheapest fridge magnetic! But, just take the time to walk up the hill a bit, maybe you'll choose the "Stairs of Death',or maybe, you'll opt for the 'slope of sanity', either way, make your way to this bastion of beer. We recently had the pleasure of visiting BEERaki, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment we arrived, we were greeted by our hosts, who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their hospitality truly set the tone for the rest of our stay.
