Overall:
Food: Greek/Cretan
One star is generous and there’s certainly nothing about being in paradise here! Those who highly rate this place need their heads examining and to eat out more. Don’t listen to them!
The ‘fresh’ Sea Bass was not fresh but thawed from being frozen and the size of a minnow. I don’t buy Waitrose Sea Bass as it’s always farmed and too small. This fish made the supermarket look fantastic. I felt completely mugged off as had asked for a recommendation and had the most expensive ‘fresh’ fished pushed onto me served on a wooden board with a fake Guardian lining. I mean really? Why on earth would you allow your kitchen to send such food out. They sent out French Fries as a starter despite asking for the food to come together. Then ordered another portion and again asked for it to be sent out with the mains. It was ignored and the ‘fresh’ fish was served with a baked potato!. The barman/waiter seemed quite content to stand at the bar having a smoke and drink whilst his assistant served us (wearing a knock off Adidas tracksuit) like everyone there was an inconvenience.
€68 for a sub standard meal was not acceptable as we soon discovered you can have so much better food for so much less. It’s an insult to eat here.
What I liked:
• The French Fries • The ‘house’ white wine
What I didn’t like:
• The food • The prices • The windswept atmosphere • The nuisance cat constantly begging for food
Do I recommend going? NO Will I go again? NO Was it good value?...
