SENSO MARE — Restaurant in Municipality of Aktio and Vonitsa

People rave about this place but all it has going for it is the sunset. It's all show and no substance. Fancy tables and menu but that's where it ends. Service is very slow. The food is overpriced and not great. I had a steak that cost 28€ and to be honest I've had better in Spooners and for a fraction of the price. It was chewy and had little flavour to it. It came with a few sweet potato chips that were cold and overcooked. I would recommend that you find one of the many other tavernas in Palieros. There's loads to choose from and they're all much better. 01/08/24 Was railroaded into going here again. Definitely not my choice. It's full of ten bob millionaires trying to be hip and cool. It's basically a field with some tables and chairs in. Food very mediocre for the money. Frozen potato wedges? Really? Had some grilled vegetables that weren't cooked properly and were hard and chewy. I suppose that if you drizzle rubbish food with some cheap balsamic glaze then it makes it trendy? Booked via facebook prior to our holiday. I had made a reservation because my parents were celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary and therefore I wanted to do something special. I asked Senso Mare for a nice spot and if they could arrange something special, I got an immediate response that it would be totally fine and asked if I wanted a cake as a surprise, which of course I wanted to do for my parents. Once we arrived during our holiday last week: a beautiful restaurant, nice atmosphere and really nice place overlooking the horizon. The food was good, only they forgot something special and there was no cake.... In the end, my parents did get a waffle with chocolate, ice cream and and candle. If you are looking for a different “Greek Vibe“ in the Ionian, this is ‘the’ place. The simplicity of design which uses nature as it’s walls. The depth of the view is majestic. Be there as the sun sets over Lefkas with it’s almost Athenian late afternoon vibe😁

The menu is bilingual and is straight forward, the wines are fairly priced. The eating experience is excellent & the Service is attentive.
