I have been coming to this beach daily and usually rent 4 beds, spending around 60–80 euros each day. I’ve always left positive reviews and even recommended this place to many friends, especially because it’s dog friendly. However, my recent experience with the waiter Basilis was extremely disappointing and rude. I wasn’t hungry or thirsty that day, but my parents wanted some ice cream. I politely asked him where I could find a menu and mentioned that I wanted to buy some. His response left me speechless — in a very ironic tone, he said he knows we come here every day but “never buy anything from the bar.” This was completely untrue and uncalled for. I have often bought refreshments from other waitresses whenever I wanted something. Instead of being welcoming, he continued sarcastically asking what ice cream I wanted. I explained that my dad is diabetic and just wanted one small scoop since they don’t have sugar-free options. He smiled ironically again, which felt dismissive and disrespectful. I rarely complain about service as I respect everyone’s work, but this kind of attitude is unacceptable — especially towards regular customers. If this is how he spoke to me when I was polite, I can only imagine how he might treat elderly people or tourists. I hope the owner becomes aware of this behaviour and takes appropriate action, because it really damages the otherwise positive reputation of this beach bar. Apart from this, it really is such a lovely beach and we had a...
Read moreUnfortunately there is almost nothing left of the free beach! They left people only a piece of the beach, in the shade of trees near the fence, the garbage container of the private beach stinks on the whole beach! More of the beach was given to private owners, with prices starting from 12 euros ... And there is no toilet or shower on the free one. There is one changing cabin which is dirty and stinks. Toilet cubicles stand for the sake of beauty, they are closed. There is a free toilet on the territory of private owners, but you need to come up and ask and almost no one knows about it. The beach is made of pebbles, the sea deepens gradually, it is quite suitable for families with children. But very dirty on the beach itself, although there are enough trash containers! But vacationers are to blame for this! They smoke and bury cigarette butts on the spot, eat, drink, and they are too lazy to put them in a bag and throw them into a container! In my presence, the "father of the family" ate chips on the shore and dug the bag into the sand ... 3 meters from the container! People - stop...
Read moreLovely beach but my god, come prepared on a hot day to either spend 20€ on a sunlounger or with a parasol to make your own shade. The limited shade from trees at the edges gets snatched up quickly, and is also the dirtiest part of the beach.
This is a tiny-pebble beach on the shore and under the water, and they get burning hot, as do the wooden ramps- my partner burnt their feet on them, which then made walking on the pebbles in the sea unbearably hot, so we left.
There was quite a bit of litter, and it felt quite crowded, but then again we went on a hot day on a Saturday.
Basically, I learnt my lesson as a quite pale Brit that that level of heat on a beach like that was more survival than enjoyable :)
That said, crystal turquoise water, its wheelchair accessible to a point, there's a little place to get changed, and sunbeds if you're willing to pay. There's also a little shop on the way from the tram stop selling snacks and drinks...
