I’m not even sure what this place is exactly — a coffee shop, a bakery, a brunch spot, or just the place to be. I stayed 5 days in Amorgos, and I went every single day. Whether it was for an orange or chocolate cake to go, pancakes loaded with fruit and homemade jam, eggs with bacon and fresh bread, or a chocolate truffle… Just pick whatever you’re craving, they probably have it. They even make sandwiches and quiches!!
This place is simply amazing. Super friendly vibe. I immediately clicked with the lovely lady working the night shift — she's so warm and welcoming, always making sure you’re having a good time. Same goes for the owner (she’s just the best!) and the cook — truly generous people.

Read moreWent to have some breakfast. Arletas have sandwiches, pancakes and scrambled eggs. I ordered scrambled eggs, espresso and smoothie. The eggs arrived instantly and were a little bit cold and damp.
One at the table ordered pancakes with chocolate. We asked if the chocolate had nuts in it (Nutella has nuts). The waiter insureds us that there were no nuts. When the pancakes arrived we could tell by the taste that it had nuts in it. We asked again if there was nuts in the chocolate and the waiter said no. We asked to se the chocolate and the waiter brought out the chocolate container which had a picture of nuts on it.
