The place is nice, romantic. The staff is nice as well. As for food. We ordered a Cretan salad that comes with Myzithra cheese. We ate it many times in different restaurants and it always comes with Myzithra. This one came with feta cheese cubes, even though in the menu it says myzithra. Then we sent it back. She took the salad and came back with grated feta cheese. When we said it's still feta cheese then the waiter said they run out of myzithra.
For the main course we ordered a fish plate for 2 people. The most expensive fish plate from other restaurants nearby, by 30%. We took it specifically because it included octopus. So the plate contained 1/3 of one tenacle of the octopus (see picture). When we said this is not normal for a fish plate for 2 they apologized and brought one more tenacle. The other things were good.
They offer free dessert. Panacota with mixed berries that are in Raki. For me not good, especially bc of Raki but it was free so I...
Read moreNot an experience We will ever repeate sadly. The place looked lovely from the outside. We had a table of eight booked for 8 pm. Sadly, it took 2 1/2 hours for mains to arrive. As 1 of our party didn’t have starters they gave us bread instead but then forgot 2 of the 7 remaining starters! charged massively for the bread and water this plus oils (which didn’t come), then forgot half our drinks order. We were pressured into ordering food at the same time as ordering drinks. They then forgot our wine glasses and cutlery. I spoke to tge head waiter who told me it was because it was Friday eve and our party hadn’t ordered soon enough! (Ordered food within 20 mins of being seated after our cocktails which several were missing). Missed two of our starters completely. Mains arrived for only 6 of our party at 10.30pm and had clearly been sat waiting a while as was crispy and over cooked. Poor experience overall which was...
Read moreBest food in Almyrida. Really tasty salads (I had apple and roquefort for starter). Pork loin was great too; some bits just pink and lovely and some a tiny bit dry but super tasty with soy and ginger on. Eaten there in previous years' trips and the pizza is decent too. Not the perfect crust, but big enough to share. Pizza and salad would be a good sharer between two. I wish they served Charma beer (and CORRECTION: on second visit they do in fact have Charma! The perfect venue!) , but other than that my go-to place in Almyrida. Tables can be breezy (as all places on the seafront there) but there are big glass screens for some of the tables. Lots of shade which is perfect for children. They also have a little shaded play area for avoiding the midday sun. They have Ikea highchairs, which is a big plus for a little one - most restaurant high chairs are too big in my experience. Staff...
