Thalami — Restaurant in Municipality of Apokoronas

Beautiful food, extremely tasty and a great atmosphere. Situated right on the waterfront, you can hear the waves lapping up the outside of the restaurant as you dine. You can even feel the sea spray as the waves crash outside. It is such a lovely location with a great choice of reasonably priced food. Very friendly staff with really good portion sizes. The starters could quite easily satisfy a moderate appetite. I chose the dakos starter, and it was divine. It could have filled me up quite easily. However, I'd already ordered the saganaki mussels. These were also out of this world, full of flavour, and really fresh. Extra freebies included bottled water, bread with olive paste and a tomato/olive oil mix. As well as watermelon and ouzo at the end of the meal. You definitely don't leave here wanting for more. I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone...

For our family taverna “Thalámi” was a place where we came not just to enjoy perfect seafood of the highest quality, but to feel the real Crete atmosphere in front of a marvelous sea view. From the very beginning we felt their first-rate service, since we came to this place half an hour earlier before the opening, not knowing about it, and they didn’t say a word, but welcomed us as dear guests with amazing friendliness. Alexander is not a common waiter, but a real friend, good adviser and professional, as well as is the manager of the Tavern with his genuine smile. They treated us honestly and we shared mutual respect. Obviously this is the best spot to try tasty fresh Cretan cuisine at reasonable prices. They are perfect in every way and once you came you won’t seek anything else, they definitely deserve all praises they’ve got. Wish you loyal clients...

The Heart of Almyrida – Excellent Food and the Kindest Service

This is truly a special place! Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but the people here are some of the warmest and kindest I’ve met. During my stay in Almyrida, three of the staff members went above and beyond every day to make me feel welcomed and cared for, and it really made all the difference. The food is incredible – I tried the bream, lamb chops, and stifado, and every bite was delicious. The house white wine was excellent too! The service is top-notch, always friendly and attentive, no matter how busy the restaurant is. The atmosphere is beautiful and authentically Greek, and the view right by the water is simply magical.
