We visited Psaros Restaurant twice during our vacation in Almyrida, and the experience was a rollercoaster. The first evening was perfect. We had reserved a table in advance and got a good spot. The premises were lovely, and the atmosphere was great. The service from the staff was impeccable; they were friendly, attentive, and present without being intrusive. We received a level of service we had missed at all other restaurants we had visited in the area. The food was very tasty and perfectly cooked to our preferences. It was by far the best dining experience we had in Almyrida.
Inspired by the great experience the previous evening, we decided to dine there again the next night. The evening started very well as the waiter had reserved one of the best tables in the restaurant for us, even though the table could only be booked for either 7 PM or 9 PM. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. After we were seated, we were more or less forgotten. It took an hour to get our food, we were never asked if we wanted more drinks, and we were never asked if we wanted coffee or dessert. We eventually asked to see the dessert menu, but after waiting 30 minutes for it to appear, we decided it was time to leave.
The food was excellent again, and the few times we spoke with the staff, they were friendly, but compared to the experience we had the night before, this was a huge disappointment. We hope they can return to the level they had on our first visit because then this is truly a...
Read moreDuring our recent vacation to Almyrida, we had the pleasure of dining at Psaros, and it quickly became our favorite spot. In fact, we loved it so much that we ended up eating there 5 out of the 7 days of our trip! A huge thank you to the owner for creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere and for delivering an exceptional dining experience each time.
The traditional Greek cuisine at Psaros is simply outstanding. The chicken souvlaki was perfectly grilled, juicy, and full of flavor. The grilled seabass was a true highlight, with a delicate crisp on the outside and tender, flavorful meat inside. We also thoroughly enjoyed the lamb and beef stew, which was rich, hearty, and absolutely delicious. Every dish we tried reflected the authenticity and quality of Greek cooking at its finest.
The staff at Psaros were fantastic, always friendly and attentive, making sure we felt right at home every visit. The combination of incredible food, wonderful service, and the relaxing seaside setting made it a dining experience we couldn’t resist returning to. If you're ever in Almyrida, Psaros is a must-visit for a true...
Read moreThis is an overrated restaurant compared to the rest of the amazing tavernas in Almyrida. The food is good but it’s overshadowed by the shoddy service. It seems like the waiters don’t have sections so because of this the service is not very attentive. Our starter plates were still on the table by the time our mains came. And I asked for a fork three times. The first two waiters ignored me even though they were stood right by the cabinet where the cutlery was stored. Plus there was no atmosphere, no music, nothing. Because of this all I could hear was the sheer noise of the restaurant. When we left, the quiet street was a relief. Don’t believe the hype about this place and go somewhere...
