Disappointing Experience – Poor Service, Aggressive Staff, and Unkept Facilities
On the final day of our holiday, we decided to visit this beach lido, but unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst experience of our trip. Upon arrival, I was quoted €10 for a set including an umbrella and sunbed, while my friends were told €15 for the same. When I asked the worker (who we believe is the owner) to clarify the price, he dismissively responded that the price is “whatever he decides” and even said, “I can make it €20 if I want.” Despite this, we agreed on the original €10 price.
As is common in Greece, payment wasn’t taken immediately. The worker walked past us several times over the next two hours without asking for payment. He only approached us once our male partners returned from the water, saying “Finally, I catch you guys – I’m here to collect.” This raised concerns for us, as it seemed we were deliberately ignored until the men were present. His tone and attitude were noticeably different based on who he was speaking to, suggesting a sexist attitude that made us uncomfortable.
We had witnessed him collecting €20 from another group for two umbrellas and four sunbeds. When we handed him the same amount for the exact same setup, he suddenly insisted it was €15 per set and demanded an additional €10. When we calmly reminded him of the agreed price, he became aggressive, threw a handful of cash at my friend, and started shouting.
To avoid further confrontation and not spoil our last day, we returned the money and paid the extra €10. However, the experience left us shaken and uncomfortable. The mistreatment, especially the verbal aggression and clear gender bias, was something we’ve never encountered elsewhere on the island.
In addition to the poor service, the facilities were subpar. The sunbeds were old and uncomfortable, the beach itself was not well maintained, and there was litter around that posed a risk of injury.
I would not recommend this beach lido to anyone. There are many other welcoming, clean, and respectful places in the area – this is not one of them.
We also never received receipts of our purchases for the lido...
Read moreThe staff is really helpful and very kind. We tried cuttlefish, gyros and tsunami salad. I don’t mind the size of the plates, never saw this in my life before! This is why maybe it’s called Tsunami. We also fed up a very hungry little kitty, who later pooped in front of us behind the window in the sand of the beach, that was amazing. (Never gonna walk there). Overall, we enjoyed every moment in this cozy place, from the beginning until the end. Best regards. Ps : we paid 35€ for one bottle of water, one Mythos beer, 1x grilled cuttlefish (very delicious !!!), one gyros(porc meat instead of chicken meat and crunchy potatoes) , 1x tsunami salad (with avocado and...
Read moreWe wanted to rent some sunbeds at 6 in the afternoon, and since we didn’t see the owner, we sat down. The owner came over very quickly and, in a rude manner, told us we had to pay. I said, “Of course, how much is it?” His response, while looking at his watch, was that for two hours it would be 15 euros.
We said no, because we felt like he was messing with us. As everyone knows, 10 or 15 euros usually covers the whole day anywhere. This beach, where the sunbeds and the restaurant are located, is quite average—not crowded at all; in fact, 90% of the...
