Kritamon — Restaurant in Municipality of Archane - Asterousia

I am originally from Crete and lived here almost all my life. So I have tried a looot of restaurants and taverns. Kritamon is one of the best experiences I had and cannot recommend it enough!

Wonderful place, big portions of wonderful tasty food and dishes that come with a nice imaginative twist made with fresh local ingredients. Some of the dishes you will never find anywhere else in the world.

The host was wonderful and very nice, and it was the first time in my life that a restaurant host suggested that we reduce our order because it was too much. And indeed she was right :) portions are more than enough and the “Minoiko” pork was one of the best pork dishes ever!

If there is one thing I could mention as a “negative” is that some times there was some loud car noises from the road outside, from the local youth. Nothing to stop me from giving 5 stars though, and you can simply sit further in the garden or on the inside of the restaurant,...

Best of the best. If you’re looking for good Cretan food you must visit this place! Traditional Cretan dishes with a modern twist. Everything we had was sooo good! The wine was delicious too and the guy who owns the place was very nice and helpful. Salad was awesome - I think we had the kritamon salad. Mushrooms were by far my favorite- SO good! Wonderful Restaurant with a beautifully green terrace covered in plants and a gorgeous tree.

The food we had was delicious, the greek sushi wrapped in wine leaves was amazing, and the lamb aswell, but the Greek salad was just outstanding. Probably the best salad we ever had. Mostly thanks to the home made olive oil and home grown vegetables!
