Ionio Restaurant at Aeolos Beach Resort — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

Part of our stay at the Aeolos Beach Resort. Included within the price so booked it up to experience it for dinner service.

Staff are very friendly and attentive and the views are stunning (goes for the whole hotel). Drink selection is very good and the menu looked promising.

You firstly get bread for the table, then shared starter plates, small dishes for the table, then we had a giant greek salad to share and a small proj gyro. This is all before the main so be sure to be hungry or pace yourself!

For the main, I chose the chicken and my partner chose the lamb (way better choice). The chicken ended up being quite dry and not very nice, however, the lamb was to die for. So succulent and melted in your mouth.

Dessert was ok, nothing special, could easily leave it as I was stuffed, plus it didn't taste the best - a cold custard style dessert but was a bit grainy.

Overall, it was a nice experience, decent food with a lot of it. Wouldn't rush back to try but glad we did. Views of the ocean are the star of...

Excellent meal at Ionio during our stay at Aeolos Beach Resort.

We arrived a few minutes early, expecting to be told to wait as we had been the previous night at Paralia. We needn't have worried, as the manager at Ionio was really friendly, welcomed us and took us straight to our table.

We were asked to choose our wine (Santa Laura red), mains and desserts, with the starters being a selection chosen by the restaurant.

We were given fresh bread and rolls with our starters, which included hummus, Taramasalata, cheese in paprika, olives, mushroom tart, anchovies and mini gyros.

A Greek Salad came with our mains - pork and chicken respectively, followed by a traditional Greek dessert of seomilna custard in filo pastry.

This is for AEOLOS beach resort guests. I would completely avoid it and just go to the main building restaurant.

Food is pre-selected and the only thing you can choose is the main dish. It does looks fancy with a 5 course selection but it’s just the same as the main building.

Service is frankly bad, I have the feeling ppl get trained there before moving to the main...
