Villa Romantica — Hotel in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

From my point of view, it is very important to accommodate yourself somewhere where you feel relaxed, and you don’t have the urge to wake up and go out to “seize the day”. Villa Romantica definately provides this with its amazing warmth and charm that makes you instantly feel at home and completely chilled out. The view from practically every space in the house is like from Travel Magazines…breathtaking.

You will find every single amenity that you might need, for all occasions, if you spend a day at the Villa with its large Bathtub and its secluded small beach in front of the house, or if you want to go out and explore Corfu’s magnificent beaches (Marathias beach at Fisheye restaurant has always been our favorite). If you really find something missing, although it will be very hard to do so, Yiannis will be just a phone call away. As for the road passing in front of the house, it is not a crossroad nor a highway, it is a narrow two-lane road that serves the usual traffic, including yourselves. It is something that you will hardly notice, so let’s not make a big fuss about it. More important is the fact that you do not see any neigbours left or right and you really feel the sea in front of you as your front yard.

The attention to details everywhere around and inside the Villa will amaze you. All the guidebooks (addresses for restaurants, beaches, cultural sites, boat rentals, hairdressers etc., etc.), small library in the living room, a great outdoor shower, a laptop, a powerful JBL Speaker over the Bathtub, two brand new Canoes and an SUP for the beach in front, an outdoor large BBQ grill, and so on, will make you feel you should have booked more than a week. This July was our 4th time staying at Villa Romantica, as a family of 5, with children aged 22, 19 and 13, and again, the Villa, Yiannis, and Corfu itself, managed to impress us again. I simply envy the people who will experience this place for their first time.

We rented this house in June 2022, in part because it was advertised as having a tranquil setting. It is definitely a beautiful and spacious house and very well cared for, inside and out. However, it is also on a very busy road (one of the main roads south out of Corfu town), so there is a constant traffic noise from early in the morning until late at night.
