Absolute highlight of my visit to Corfu - well worth the adventure to get here. Food, care and atmosphere were fantastic; really no faults at all. Staff were helpful and friendly when I was fussed with wasps, also packed up my food to take away when I was full! Small things that mattered a lot :)
Traveling here is a bit fun but not impossible; I had a 50cc scooter that was a bit low powered for the hills. The roads kind of run out a bit at points and you’re on stones / mud / grass at points but that’s no issue if you’re careful. Parking is hard - I’ve added some photos for reference; was glad to not be in a car truthfully.
The beach is perfect and really great for swimming! Sunbeds are €10 for 2 beds and an umbrella if that’s your vibe - if it’s not, I struggled to find much space for a towel that wasn’t on stones / had any shade at all. Not somewhere I could’ve spent a full there therefore, but still lovely.
Toilets are free and very clean! Both for the cafe and beach, all was really...
Read moreThis is an absolute GEM and by the far the most traditional and best restaurant in the area (even in terms of atmosphere and view!) We walked from the other side of the cliff (from green hill resort) .. YES it was a bit of a trek (around 25 mins) in the heat but the road is in good nick and if you're in decent shape, then can defo handle the few inclines!
Trust me, it's worth the trek, the food and scenery is simply stunning. The cocktails are also epic too! Lterally the BEST grilled prawns going 🍤 .. we had the following that were all great
Tzatziki Zucchini balls Briam (greek veg in an olive oil and tomato base) Fried calamari Grilled shrimps
Also some great bat watching to be done on the walk back. Ample parking too just up from the restaurant and set on a funky pebble beach! Defo visit if in...
Read moreIt's worth making the trip just for this Taverna. Food was amazing, we had octopus, taramasalata, Yaliskari salad, grilled calamari and shrimp, everything was extremely fresh and tasty. The service was warm and attentive. The food and service make this place excellent, but the location is what makes it spectacular - right on the beach, serene and relaxed, looking out onto the ocean.
The owners have clearly invested into this place. There is parking at multiple points down the hill to the taverna, with ample space to turn the car around; toilets were clean; and there is also a cute corner with deck chairs if you just want drinks. There's a wide variety of drinks including interesting local...
