Bodega Beach Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

I visited this place only once when I rented a sunbed on the beach. Unfortunately, I wasn’t impressed with the service. The staff treated me as if they were doing me a huge favor by renting out a single sunbed. I came in the late afternoon around 5 PM and was given one sunbed for €20, apparently only because the beach wasn’t crowded. The regular price is €30 for a set of two sunbeds and an umbrella.

What really put me off was the extremely loud music in the evening. It was impossible to relax — even noise-cancelling headphones didn’t help. The music could be heard all over the beach and ruined the atmosphere. Because of this, I had no desire to come back.

Super great location right on the beach, Bodega Beach Bar is serving primarily drinks from the bar, however the food here is actually really perfect for a quick bite when you are on the beach and find yourself hungry. The “chicken fingers” are super tasty and a good sized portion even for a fast lunch so you can go back to the beach. The hamburger is also good sized and will hit the spot when you get hit with hunger after swimming in the sea. The toastee is also good for a child and is a bargain at 4 euro. The prices here overall are very reasonable. Plus the location on the beach enables you to enjoy your food and drinks while staring out at the ocean. I asked one of the staff how it was going with the food Ive ordered for take away after half an hour, which one of the staff said it wouldn’t take so long before we made the order. It would have been fine if they told us about the long waiting time but instead,

They sent a manager to confront us after we were wondering about our food. He had a long speech about how it wasn’t McDonald’s and that we were stressed out. And seriously if they want to be considered a nice restaurant as he explained to me in his speech.
