Bella Vista Sunset Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

We visited Bella Vista restaurant just last night as a young couple and had the most lovely experience. After regretfully trying some of the generic beachfront restaurants in Pelekas we found Bella Vista. We just wish we had found it earlier but it was our last night :(

The food was just divine- proper authentic greek cuisine. There was also pizza on the menu so it is suitable for picky eaters/children.

We were so surprised at the reasonability of the pricing too. We had 3 dishes for starters and 3 for our main to share. Plus two cocktails and two beers for only €60 in total. The cocktails were delicious and not minimal/greedy (as you may find elsewhere) for only €7 each. There were generous portions with great quality and flavour with most dishes ranging from €6-€10. The pizzas are only €9 despite their size.

The view was gorgeous- id recommend booking a table between 8-8:30 in the summer to see the sunset while you are eating. This added to the calm inviting atmosphere.

Our host was lovely and even took pictures for us with the view- they really went the extra mile with everything and seemed genuinely pleased that we were there which makes such a difference to one’s dining experience. As some may know, this is difficult to find as a tourist.

Yes, the legs had to be exercised climbing from the beach to the hotel, but the view so worth it! ⛰️🏞 Our room was modest but cozy, cleaned every other day. We dined 2 times at Bella Vista during our one-week stay in Kontogialos. It was a very nice experience, even though it's a bit of a climb to arrive there (but this is true all over the island) the experience was indeed wonderful, our waitress (I didn't catch the name unfortunately) she was really nice and attentive, nice service, delicious food, although the second time my partner had some pork and we concluded greeks don't really know to cook pork, it's hard and chewy. But overall the food is great, good value for money, we paid less for the dinner than for lunch in other restaurant close by. I wouldn't recommend the house wine, it's not very good, but a bottle of regular one and enjoy it during dinner.
