The guy's family catches his fish and knows how to cook it to perfection. I've traveled a bit these days and this is easily the best fish I've eaten. Sweet succulent prawns and white snapper stuffed with garlic, chilli and herbs before being cooked over coals. Kids loved the swordfish and I couldn't blame them it was delicious. Maybe I'm too used to big city pricing but I had no issue with the price for the quality and we got free beach loungers for the day thrown in.

Easily, one of the best seafood restaurants I have tasted since been in Corfu after visiting different part of Corfu, it’s situated by the sea and great fresh daily catches of seafood & fish, it’s a family owned restaurant with three generations of fishing experiences (or more!). Really enjoyed the food and the service, can’t recommend more and hopefully the next time I’d be able to find a table!

Achtung Abzocke ? Eigentlich wollten wir nur einen kleinen Snack zu Mittag essen. Bestellt hatten wir 2 x Kalamaris, einen Salat und Kräuterbrot. Dazu kamen noch 2 Getränke. Wir bekamen Kalamaris wie bestellt und zusätzlich waren 2 kleine Tintenfische, die wir aber nicht bestellt hatten. Dann kam es zur Abrechnung....ein Teller mit Kalamaris und 2 kleinen Tintenfischen, würde uns pro Teller mit 25 Euro berechnet....alles zusammen waren 80 Euro (für unseren geplanten kleinen Snack). Die Preise wurden nur auf einem Zettel aufgeschrieben...und einen gewünschten Kassenbon bekamen wir nicht. Da wir für unseren Snack nur 60 Euro Bargeld mit hatten, wollten wir alles mit Karte zahlen...das wurde aber abgelehnt.....es wurden die 60 Euro Bargeld angenommen und nur die 20 Euro Differenz per Karte gewünscht. Wie auch immer, als Gast möchte man hier auch keinen Streit oder Ärger haben, aber diese Aktion hat uns den Geschmack an dem selbst zubereiteten Kalamaris richtig verdorben.

Just go to nearby Bella Vista instead !

Cons : Prices are very high considering whats on offer. George. Actually, I am not upset with him …… Gorgeous George is just a local character selling fairytales about fishing, and homemade food, while feeding you with supermarket produce at inflated prices…..

Pros : Picturesque location near the sea. Food is actually ok.

Conclusion: Kind of ok seaside fish Taverna, but don’t listen to Georges’ fairytales, order simple, try to keep a rough track of the bill and you will be just fine.

Better yet, just head over to Bella Vista at the top of the hill, and enjoy a wonderfull local host, along with great food and...

The prices are exorbitantly expensive... and they force you to pay €2 per person for a drink of water. They also charge €2 if you pay by credit card. And the prices on the menu don't match at all. They put different prices on the menu which is confusing when you go to pay because on some menus the prices are lower or more expensive. The staff and the owner are very rude when customers complain about the prices. Not a recommendable place because you don't eat...
