This is a full review of the place so it is pretty long but for people who don’t want to ready the whole thing: Service quality: excellent View: fascinating comfort: above and beyond beach: good luck finding a better one After going through Greece for 2 week from Santorini to Athens and Corfu this probably has been the most beautiful and friendliest place that I have been to and that huge because I have seen so many nice places and met so many nice people.
The restaurant and the hotel is ran by a lovely family which are all super nice and amazing to talk to calling them excellent staff would be an understatement when you are here you are among family. Room itself was clean the beds were super comfortable and the facilities are well kept, sure there are wear and tear but keep in mind you are not staying at Hilton paying hundreds of dollars a night this is a family ran business with a much more affordable prices. The breakfast is not continental but anything you order will be made freshly for you full of flavor and recopies have ran down in the family and you can feel the love. Dining is a similar story but probably subject to season you visit might be different I had fresh fried fish their house wine and baklava all wear great but to be honest baklava was not too my taste, all the credits to Greeks and their food I’m still leaning toward Turkish baklava Talking of atmosphere the view is amazing offering probably most beautiful sunset that average man has seen and the beach is just 5 minute walk away. Best part is you have an option to either go to a sandy beach which is more crowded or a more pebble rocky beach more naturist style that is I would say giving full private vibes as you cant find more than a handful of people in it just decide you want to go right or left both are almost same distance. Water is super clear offering same looks and vibes as blue lagoon. The only minus point in my stay was Wi-Fi, the place is quite big and spacious so there are dead spots but it gave a great opportunity to get to know Madalena and have some laughs with her. The owners are constantly improving the place so that could be fixed very soon too. All in all place is perfect and cant wait to come back here next year, my only fear is that the potential of place will kick in and I wont be able to afford staying at this lost treasure as it is anywhere in the range of a top hotel with bonus of having real people around you that will try their best to make you...
Read moreOne star for such a beautiful place that’s for sure. Unfortunately “30 years of tradition” doesn’t mean 30 years of care. It seems like they built it 30 years ago and since then nobody touched it or even try to keep it nice and clean. The owner acts quite arogant. Don’t even try to book cheaper rooms for 60€ because it looks worse than cheap hostel. Beds were falling apart, no wardrobe or even shelfes and blinking lights. Smell was terrible and showers and toilets we’re clogged. To be honest, we complained on our room and it was repaired but some other guy did that too and it was said to him to leave and sleep on a beach if he’s not satisfied. If we are talking about mentioned “traditional food”, that was a big joke. Breakfasts were okay, but we and other guests were waiting for orders about 20 minutes and the food was given to us after another 20 mins. For example waiting 30 minutes for a glass of fruit! When we wanted to orded our food at the bar, we were arogantly asked if we were in a rush or something. The waiter was pissed all the time. Once we tried the lunch there, we ordered mussaka which was 12 euros and there was no meat and it was just terrible (photo below). Another example was cat sh** on a middle of main pathway which stayed there for our whole stay and I think it will be there until christmas. Again to be honest things get little bit better when we complained but we we’re treated differently since then. PS: About last picture, we love birds and all animals, but haven’t seen any....
Read moreI loved the entire building, the stone, the location on the bluff, and most of all, the staff and owner. Unfortunately, I arrived at night and I cannot vouch for the view but considering, I would have to say it must have been stunning! The staff was beyond helpful. I took a taxi from the Port of Corfu, and unfortunately, he was not an honest driver and was constantly 'lost'. The staff took my calls twice to try and get him to the correct place, which he passed twice in his attempts to overcharge me. When I finally arrived, they greeted me with a strong beer and fed me some great food even though it was late! Be wary of taxi drivers, I would recommend contacting them to see if they can collect you where they are because they will not rip you off! And the prices that I was charged for the food, beer, homemade wine, and ouzo were so cheap! They spoke wonderful English too. Madalena was a gracious host and her staff so wonderful! And to top it off, they had their driver take me to the airport at 5:30 am! I will definitely stay there again when I return to Corfu. And would...
