Ουζερι Χαρα — Restaurant in Municipality of Chalkida

I went without a reservation and it was full. They said that they couldn’t make a reservation but I saw other people being served before us with reservations. Anyway, I waited and found a table, but again they moved us to another table with the excuse that the table was intended for more people, and when we moved others sat straight away with the same number of people of us. The waiters were polite after that afterwards (to be fair to them). The food was average. I give it one star because it ruined my appetite and mood and a restaurant should do the exact opposite, enhance your experience! Reply to the ship's response: Saying we created a disruption isn't true. We played by your rules. You said that no reservation was possible because of the day, but you gave reservations to other people. So we sat at a table when it became free. And without any complains we sat at a table that was unstable and later on we had no shadow under the Sun, regardless of your staff saying it was intended for a lager group but eventually only two people sat. As you say Courtesy is nice to have on both sides. From my side I just described things as they happened. And I could have said that the food was awefull etc, but I didn't because it wasn't. Food was ok, but just ok... This is my courtesy. But I think that both sides should be truthful as well. I have chosen this restaurant to eat some fish, attracted by the pictures of other clients. My idea, being not too hungry, was to eat a salad and a grilled squid. Portions were enormous and I was stuffed just with the Greek salad which was delicious and very well-seasoned. While waiting for my main dish, it arrived a group of people who were extremely noisy and the owner seemed not to be taking care of other clients who were bothered. Super surprised. After being around Halkida for a few days, eccidentally came upon this seafood taverna at the mainland just opposite Halkida. Absolutely excellent taverna. Very good personalised and fast service, brilliant meals and seafront dinning. All our meals were very good, but the Hara prawns saganaki and the prawn spaghetti were fantastic. One if the best value for money seafood place around the area. Bread for two, one litre of house wine, steamed zucchinis, beetroot salad, skordalia, a super large Hara saganaki with large prawns and the extra super large prawn spaghetti, with plenty of large prawns, was 52 Euros.
