Cosy Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Chania

Admittedly, we initially wanted to go somewhere completely different and only discovered the tavern by chance and quite unexpectedly - a wonderful coincidence, as it turned out later. It's no exaggeration to say that it was one of the most delicious meal we've ever tasted.

In addition to starters such as Halloumi and Tzatziki, we also had the tuna paste on recommendation (so amazing - a must-try!!!) - two fish dishes and spaghetti with tuna for the main course - and each dish gradually took us to foodie heaven.

In the end, we agreed that there had to be a secret ingredient, besides Vassili's cooking skills. We unanimously came to the realization that this secret ingredient was a good dose of love and passion. As cheesy as it may sound, it was not only palpable, but also unmistakably tasty. Chrysa is also the warmest person we have had the pleasure of meeting for ages. So much love, so much wisdom, a person who simply makes you feel at home.

So thank you both, Chrysa and Vassili and also your lovely daughter for the wonderful welcome, the incredible delicious food and the beautiful memories. We will definitely be back again sometime.

They are the friendliest, more welcoming & genuine people you will ever meet!

They have a passion for food and boy can they cook!! Some of the nicest food I’ve ever had. How they manage to pack some much flavour into each dish I have no idea, but they do it.

They are the number 1 restaurant in Agia Marina on Trip Advisor and you can see why. A lot of other restaurants in the area really disappointed us as it felt like we could have made something nicer at home, when you go out for a meal it should feel like it’s a treat and you should be left wondering how they’ve managed to make something taste so good….. this restaurant will leave you feeling exactly like that!!

You can tell every dish has been made with love, especially the daily special! Whatever it is please just order it!

When we left the second time the lady owner told us we are part of their family now, gave us a huge hug and told us to come back soon. Hospitality like this...

We visited Cosy Restaurant on one of our last nights here, and after a week of eating at various restaurants – both locally and in the old town of Chania – this was, without a doubt, the best meal we had. Although they offer a wide range of meat dishes, we went for the vegetarian options, and they were absolutely outstanding. Every course – from starters to mains to desserts – was full of flavour and beautifully prepared. The homemade lemon tart is a must-try!

What truly set this place apart, though, was the staff. They were all incredibly kind, but especially amazing with our toddler – playing with her, giving her toys, even dancing with her. She had a brilliant time, and so did we. We were made to feel genuinely welcome and special, which really added to the experience.

It’s a lovely, family-run restaurant, and although it had seemed a bit quiet when we passed by earlier in the week, we’re so glad we decided to give it a try after reading a few reviews.
