ZEPHYROS Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Chania

Nice place though situated by a street with a lot of traffic. We had "chicken pan", pork souvlaki and chicken souvlaki with local white wine from an ancient winery - all very nicely cooked and really tasty. Very pleasant staff and ok prices. Often we are offered special treats "on the house" when we ask for the bill and Zephyros is no exeption - except that the chocolate cake and the Raki were both very good and tasty. We had a terrible experience at Zephyros. Not only did we have to wait one hour for our appetizer. And 3 hours later the main course arrived. Half of our tables food was overdone. The service was none existend. Absolutely horrible. Not serviceminded at all. And it's not like it's a cheap place to eat. Cannot recommend this...

Only stayed 2 nights in this overcrowded tourist area but dined both nights in this lovely tavern. The food is super yummy, the service is excellent and yes, you don't have beachfront dining but you get a bit of Greek tradition away from all the tourist stuff around you. I can highly recommend...
