Pirgos — Restaurant in Municipality of Chania

It was a shame... A disaster... 😕 You name it.

1. our food took long time
2. my husband's food (lamb) was extremely salty
3. my traditional beef (I don't remember the correct name) was also salty The place was full and they had a lot to do, and maybe that's why they forgot to bring my husband's son his apple juice. I told the waitress about my husband's food, and she changed it at the same time! 👍🏽When we asked the bill, we received small desserts and a bottle of raki, and everything was too sweet... 😕 I felt bad with the situation, you know... They were really friendly, but their food...? It wasn't good! 👎 But the free wifi (with a long number) works VERY...

Short version: Recommended. Underrated.

Long version: they have a variety of traditional foods and drinks and they are more than happy to help you choose. There is a dish-of-the-day that is changed 3-4 times a week. They cost a little bit extra but they are worth it. The place is very cozy and surrounded by greens and with the sound of the ocean nearby make it magical.

What I really like about Crete generely and this place particularly is that you feel welcome and don't feel like that they are trying to trick or steal from you (as some other countries do, will not mention names).

Lamb tsigariasto is very...

We ended up eating at this restaurant 3 times in our stay here... So I guess that speaks volumes by its self.

Every time we ate there the experience was always the same... Quality food, good friendly service, great setting and value for money.

The menu has plenty of authentic local and traditional Greek dishes.

Our last time there we had our traditional wedding anniversary meal - chateaubriand - and it was good.

And of course, you get the free cuts of fruit and the free raki at the end...

All in all we would highly recommend this restaurant... You'll not be...
