So, we stayed here, myself, my husband, Mother and my 16 month old daughter. ||The hotel is lovely, well kept and the pools are great. No need to fight for sunbeds. ||Personally, we found the food great. There's a lot of variety, my daughter had no issues eating. She eats what we eat and there were things like pizza, spaghetti bolognese, chips (nutritious I know but what kid doesn't like chips). Not only that there's an abundance of fruit and my daughter loves strawberries. ||The staff are great, there was a young chap who was often at the back of the seating area who was so kind and friendly to my daughter she became best friends with him. ||The room was fine, we had one of the dated rooms but it wasnt unpleasant, the bed we found comfortable and the aircon worked, bonus during the heat. ||The entertainment we struggled with a bit as there is a lot of French so we personally felt this was catered to. But then if you have a majority of guests being French you are going to primarily speak French. The team are great at working hard to keep guests entertained and the vibe was great!||Now we had an incident that really put the test to the hotel. Our daughter became unwell with sickness. We went down to request a visit to the doctor at 9am and requested our beds to be changed ASAP as our daughter had thrown up over one. With her being poorly she was sleeping a lot so we could guarantee that after the visit to the doctor she would want to go straight to bed. We came back from the doctor at 11.30 and our beds still hadn't been changed. I went down at 11.45 to inform reception and was told that the cleaning team follow a schedule and I said but in the event of an emergency and she wants to sleep could this not be made a priority. I was told they would do it as soon as possible but it wasnt done for another hour.||I approached a member of staff later in the evening who I'm so sorry I cant remember his name but it began with a V. He was brilliant, I wanted to feedback that in the event of an emergency can an exception not be made to change the bed as soon as. He listened to my point and wrote it down to approach management with the suggestion. Not only this my daughter then threw up downstairs (we took her out for a change of scenery), he was straight on it to help. ||Then, we were due to check out the next day and were praying we could keep the room as late as possible due to my daughter being poorly. He told us to speak to Maria, this lady was a miracle worker! She managed to get us a different room that we could keep until 8pm and we didnt need to leave until 7.50pm. This allowed my daughter to sleep when she needed to. ||Personally, I wouldn't go back but only for the reason that I think there wasnt enough to entertain my daughter and a splash pad would be safer for her. She enjoyed the pool but wouldn't tolerate it and always wanted a wonder. If me and my husband went then we would absolutely love it and wouldn't...

Good points
Hotel is kept clean and plenty of pools
Bar staff are amazing and very friendly.
Beach 5 to 10 minutes walk.
20 minutes walk to the main street where its abit more lively but after a few times gets a bit boring.
A few small supermarket's across from the hotel and down towards the beach.
Recommended to try and book the new part of the hotel if possible the old park is OK but outdated a bit.
Bus service is very good once you have walked 15 to 20 minutes up a hilly road.
Bad points
Please be aware of the reviews for this hotel as Google translate the French comments to English so the reviews can be misleading to the English as these are French guests commenting.
Would not recommend for family's, out of school holidays, nothing for kids to do but the pool.
You have to pay for safe and towels.
My partner is disabled and is not sutable for the 15 to 20 minutes walk up a hill to the main road to get the bus to go anywhere, not good for people with walking difficulties.
Hotel Entertainment is very bad and only done for the French and very little English which I find very insulting for the money you pay.
THE ENTERTAINMENT TEAM NEED TO RELISE THAT ITS NOT JUST FRENCH PEOPLE ON HOLIDAY HERE AND THERE SHOWS ARE SO TACKEY, FRENCH ENTERTAINMENT MIME ENGLISH SONGS AND IT IS SHOCKING.
Not really much to do around the area once you have done it once or twice, you will need to venture out, I would recommend going to HERSONISSOS or MALIA where it is more lively and much more to do on the bus takes around 15 to 30 mins after a 20 minute walk upn a hill to the bus stop as no bus's go down ti resorts only on the main roads good price and services from the bus's. Avoid the rip-off taxis the bus's are easy to use.
Food is more European breakfast it's ok same every day.
Lunch and dinner and dinner are a bit of a hit, and mis some days can be good, then let down the following day.
The French seem to think they own the place and can push in while queuing for food. it is a French oriented hotel.
It is more an older generation type of hotel.
I would recommend to wash you glass's out from the soft drinks machine with water, some glass smell of bleach or musty smell. Some glasses are OK.
Continental breakfast from 06.30 to 07.00 is food left in the fridges from the night before, table not cleaned till after 07.00 with glass's and plates left from the night before on the tables so you have to clean the table yourself to eat if your out early for any trips.
From my point of view I would avoid this hotel for the English tourist.
Booked with Jet 2 for many years and never had any issues until now. These airlines need to do more research into areas where the hotels are based, jet 2 was aware of my partners condition and still...
Read moreHotel Magda hosted us for two weeks, and it was truly a wonderful time. We stayed in the “older” part of the hotel, but we have no complaints about the room. It was cleaned perfectly every day — we’d like to express our sincere thanks to the housekeeping team. The ladies who do such hard work greeted us every day with a smile and always left the room spotless. More words of appreciation go to the bar staff — absolutely wonderful people, especially the two ladies, one from the morning shift and one from the evening shift. They were always smiling, made really good drinks, were kind, and always had something nice to say. The food was served buffet-style, as is standard in hotels. There was plenty of it, and I think everyone could find something they liked. Breakfast dishes were mostly repeated, but lunch and dinner were very diverse. The hotel has four freshwater pools — and not cold ones, which made swimming very pleasant. Even though we stayed in the older section, we were allowed to use all the pool areas throughout the hotel (we had previously read that this might not be possible). The manager was a great person — he always greeted us and asked if everything was okay. Reception staff were also very helpful and kind. The hotel mainly caters to French guests, which was noticeable, but we never felt treated better or worse because of that. Indeed, most of the entertainment was in French, though the animators did their best to translate into English — it was funny at times, but it was still possible to participate without knowing French. However, having a dedicated English-speaking animator would be very much appreciated. And one very annoying thing — the only real downside of our stay — was the smoking issue. People were smoking absolutely everywhere, with a very inconsiderate attitude toward non-smokers. They sat wherever they pleased, without caring that someone might not want smoke blown in their face. I have asthma, and sometimes I couldn’t find a place to sit during the evening shows without breathing in that awful smell. This was really a stain on Hotel Magda’s otherwise great reputation. I suggest dividing the bar area into smoking and non-smoking zones — because right now, it feels discriminatory toward non-smokers. I’d also like to point out that across Europe, fewer and fewer people smoke, and smoking bans in public areas are becoming more common. Even families with children had nowhere to sit without their kids being surrounded by clouds of smoke — and to me, allowing that is just not right. Apart from that, we highly recommend Hotel Magda, thank you for such a warm and friendly welcome, and we’ll do our best...
