Slow service and long wait for food! Went for an English Breakfast, menu said PG Tips tea or coffee or orange juice. So we ordered 2 breakfasts that we were told came with 2 slices of toast each. Toast and tea arrived 25 mins after sitting down, only the toast was the kind of bread that is rock hard and then cracks when you try and butter it and the tea was actually Earl Grey! My husband speaks fluent Greek so pulled the old waiter up about the tea and he just could not get the concept that Earl Grey is not proper English tea. The orange juice was infact just bad cordial that you get served at hotel buffets. The breakfasts arrived about 1hr 10 minutes after arriving in the restaurant so of course the toast was now stone cold. When my husband asked for the toast to be replaced the waiter laughed and said 'how was I supposed to know when the breakfast was coming', erm because you work here! The breakfast was awful when it finally arrived and we only had 2 of the 4 slices of toast replaced. There was never a sorry the whole time and the waiter even told my husband that living in the UK had changed him and he needed to remember Greek service takes a while!! We were charged full price despite not being able to drink the tea, being 2 slices of toast short and the food arriving 70 minutes after arriving with only 1 other couple in the place. There was another couple but they walked out after not receiving any service. It was an utter shambles and we thoroughly regretted going there in the...
Read moreHaving previously visited and giving a 5 star review I had to come back 4 years later and provide an update. If you have any food allergies DO NOT visit this restaurant. I have ceoliac disease and I also cannot drink any alcohol due to another medical condition. Both allergens can make me seriously ill. I explained all of this to the owner the day before dining and she assured me that she fully understood and woild cater for me separately. When our food arrived the next day there were two Yorkshire puddings and gravy on my plate. I explained that I could not eat the meal and she made me a new plate, although there was still some gravy on the meat. I just did not eat this. Our desert was a trifle which looked stunning. Upon getting the bottom there was a small piece of cake that had been soaked in Ouzo which she assured me would not be there. There was at least a full shot of alcohol in the desert, even my husband coukd not eat it - this was being served to small children too! My entire desert had been contaminated with allergens and I was very unwell all night! The owners attitude was well a small bit won't hurt you!! Absolutely...
Read moreFirst of all, they are cash only which is advertised nowhere, so that was an unpleasant surprise. Secondly, on a very quiet morning it took nearly 40 minutes to get two brunch plates and this was only after I had to flag someone down to actually order after sitting for ages. My sister ordered the vegetarian breakfast and got none of the sides (orange juice, coffee or toast) advertised with it until we argued for it. I ordered the bruschetta and while the tomatoes were tasty, it was served on two halves of a burger roll. Not toasted, just a burger roll. They then charged us for my sister's orange juice, which was meant to be free. Definitely would not come back, portions are absolutely tiny for the price and service was pleasant but...
