Mezes by Alex and Christine — Restaurant in Municipality of Chersonissos

WHATS NOT TO LOVE! My family and I were staying at an all inclusive resort in Hersonissos and the food was horrific! Beside that we would always eat out on the night to explore the local restaurants and get the real feel to Greece! We picked this amazing place for our last meal simply cause my daughters name is Alex! Only to find out Christine who is married to Alex is from Newcastle! (The same area we live in) and Alex is Greek and both nationalities being so friendly and welcoming we had not just a fantastic experience but such a laugh! The food was second to none! 5/5!!! And then after a few wines me and my husband were messing about and practicing our salsa steps when Alex joined in! We had my 5 year old and they did everything possible to make it fun for her also! This beautiful authentic restaurant is a must when visiting Koutouloufari! I am a travel agent and I’ll be highly recommending this to all my clients! What can I say about this place that not probably already been said....

Just go everything about it leaves you with a warm feeling the food, the service and the ambiance.

We ate here twice and every time it was faultless. Christine and Alex and their sons just want to make you happy, they work very hard but you wouldn't notice it as they make you feel like old friends not just customers.

Please just visit! The food here is incredible and with reasonable prices..

The beef stifado was tender and very flavourful. The tazaziki was the best we had on the island by far.... and we tried alot!

The sauces are all freshly prepared we tried the Pizayiola and the Diablo, both very delicious I recommend the former if you like feta and capers, although both were great.

I don't think you could order anything bad from this restaurant. Everything was perfect

Also don't forget the desserts, Death by chocolate....wow just heaven...

I was told about this restaurant that the service and food was amazing, they weren't lying. Christine is from newcastle, been in Greece 30 years and certainly learnt how to run and amazing restaurant, her son is the chef and I have to say what an absolute legend in the kitchen he is for his young years, Alex is also very attentive and great host.

So the restaurant looks fantastic and views are fabulous. Furniture comfortable too.

Food is amazing, I had pork fillet with pepper sauce and got to say the pork was absolutely amazing but it didn't end there the sauce to my disappointment was the very very best I have ever had in my 50yrs and will never be able to order pepper sauce again from anywhere because it will not come near what I ate here. .. we also ordered spaghetti peskatore and that too was very nice..
