We had dinner here and sadly it was the least impressive one we've had in Crete so far. Here are the problems: we got tzatziki with bread, and the bread was the kind of cheap bread you get in a supermarket and tasted stale, so it might have been old too we ordered sparkling water and we received still water. When we said we ordered sparkling, we were told they don't have sparkling in a big bottle and continued pouring it we ordered 1 pork gyros and this was the worst gyros the person had. Firstly it didn't have any fries, and even our Greek host was surprised when we told her this. Secondly, it tasted more like chicken than pork, but you couldn't really tell for sure we had to go downstairs and say our table number to pay, and the bill just said "food" in Greek for everything so you couldn't really check it when we paid, we got asked if the food was ok and when I mentioned the gyros problem, the person just shrugged and carried on like normal. If you're not going to do or say anything to address an issue, then don't bother asking
On the good sides, the location is nice and the octopus tasted great. The prices were alright too.
Maybe in another location all of these would've been OK, but in Crete, when surrounded by so many brilliant restaurants, it's really not good.
EDIT: -1 star because in their reply they are trying to find excuses instead of admitting mistakes and apologising. The bread was bad, stale or not. The waiter didn't tell us anything about the water or gyros. And the problem with the bill isn't that it is in Greek, but that everything on it is "food", so you can't check...

This really does feel like a home away from home and an excellent addition to the Old City of Malia.
We tried about 4 or 5 starters, a few mains, a couple of beers and some wine for about €30. When combined with the location, quality of food, and atmosphere, it's really second to none.
There are lots of excellent restaurants in this area all doing variations of roughly the same style, so it's really the little things that make a place stand out.
Go alone, with some friends, or take your family, either way you'll feel...
Read moreBoth me and my friend loooved this place! So glad we found it! Food is amazing, I can specially recommend shrimps with garlic and steamed mussels (this one was a discover of the last evening, and I don’t want anyone to miss on it, like we did). Those are just 🤌🤌🤌 Service here is the best, you’ll always feel welcome and taken care of. Food comes relatively fast or really fast (at least that goes for salads and seafood). Don’t forget to leave a little space for a couple shots of raki, which comes after the food. I highly recommend this place if you want amazing food, cozy atmosphere and overall...
