Official Complaint Regarding Antisemitic Discrimination at APOLLO CLUB, Malia
Dear Apollo Club Management,
I am writing to express my outrage and deep disappointment regarding a shocking and deeply disturbing incident of blatant antisemitism and discrimination that occurred at your establishment in Malia, Crete.
My 18-year-old son and his friends, who were visiting Greece for a vacation, were repeatedly denied entry to your club for no reason other than being Jewish. On multiple occasions, they were refused entry with no explanation, while others were allowed in freely. However, the most appalling incident occurred when one of your staff members at the entrance grabbed my son’s phone without consent to check the language settings. Upon seeing that his phone was in Hebrew, the staff member spat in his direction and called him a “dirty Jew.”
This behavior is completely unacceptable, discriminatory, and a clear violation of basic human rights and dignity. Your club's conduct is not only disgraceful but also potentially criminal under both Greek and EU anti-discrimination laws.
I demand an immediate investigation into this matter and a public apology. If this issue is not addressed promptly and seriously, I will be forced to escalate this complaint to the relevant Greek tourism authorities, local police, European human rights organizations, and media outlets.
Furthermore, I will ensure that this experience is widely shared on all relevant review platforms and travel forums to warn other visitors of the appalling treatment Jewish tourists may face at your...
Read moreDear valued reader,
I regret to inform you that I have had the misfortune of visiting a nightclub in Malia that is, quite simply, a disaster. This place is so appalling that I recommend you to avoid it like the plague.
From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the sheer number of underage youths that were present. It's as if they all decided to go to this one establishment and get drunk beyond belief.I could see that these poor souls were out of control.
The problems didn't end there, though. Upon entering the club, I was immediately ripped off by the entry fee, which was extortionate to say the least. I noticed that there was a group of people who tried to get free drinks from unsuspecting customers, and they were obviously hired by the club to try and siphon off more money from its patrons. These swindlers were so transparent that even a primitive like me could see through their scam.
If you refuse to buy any drinks, be prepared to be treated like vermin. The bouncers here are particularly unpleasant, hurling people out without a second thought if they refuse to buy. Honestly, it's like they don't want anyone in there at all.
In summary, the next time you're in Malia and thinking of going clubbing, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this scandalous establishment. It's not worth your money, your time, or your dignity. Save yourself the trouble and head somewhere that's not filled with underage revellers and...
Read moreNice club but only for a visit or two. Adapted mostly to british tourists so most music played is commercial drill and also, the music most times repeats itself DJ lacks, always interrupts songs like 10+ times during ONE song which is really annoying, I get it its in order to hype the crowd but it really is annoying when you try to enjoy the music and the DJ keeps cutting the music to talk😭😭😭the only good thing is the dance pole platforms, but all the time they are occupied by british girls sipping their drinks and not even dancing at all, only taking up space💀one night there were songs that played three or four...
