Palyria — Restaurant in Municipality of East Mani

We were initially approached, as many other potential customers, starting with a lovely chat with the guy (unfortunately we don't know his name) that then took us through the menu and explained us that the restaurant is a family business. We then went for a drink and a wander around the port before going back to Palyria for dinner. By the time we went back to the restaurant they run out of the fish that we wanted to eat (grilled dourade), however they went out of their way to make us happy and they managed to find a dourade for us. Together with the dourade we ordered also fried calamari and greek salad. Everything was delicious and the prices very reasonable for the amount of food that we got. Food was descent except for the gavros fish that was cooked with very used oil. The server was excited about our view. Unfortunately our view was a a few double parked cars by a family who was chatting above our heads for 40 minutes. They had just finished their dinner and had 3 cars double parked in the middle of the street in front of the restaurant creating traffic. Really good food and prices but really bad service. (i don't know if it was because there was a lot of people ordering at the same time). We ordered Soutzoukakia with rice and after almost an hour of waiting they came out with Soutzoukakia with French Fries. Also, they didn't even bring the French Fries we ordered as a starter even though we asked them several times to see if they forgot. We ended up not paying for them. I cannot say if they are always like that but they had pretty bad...
