Zefiros Anemos — Restaurant in Municipality of Folegandros

Absolute scam, avoid going here. They don't have a menu or prices out to create untransparency about prices for tourists and overcharge you. Food is very mediocre quality and overpriced. We paid 10€ for "grilled vegetables" which were still frozen and supercold. I had a seafood pasta which had 5 frozen small shrimps in it and 2 mussels (15€). Partner had 2 small red mullets with some rice for 25€.

When I went to pay the bill, the owner/waiter randomly said 60€. When i asked what the fish and meals cost, you could see he inventef some prices for the meals but it didn't add up to 60€. When i asked for a detailed breakdown, he was clearly inventing prices and was in trouble getting to 60€, even when already overcharging for some of the menu items lol. He asked 25€ for 2 red mullets (200g weight) and some basic rice which is insanely much, even if the price per kg is a lot it didnt add up.

I would understand if the prices were high but here they just try to overcharge seeing you're a tourist you which is just not acceptable. Go to any other...

Very overpriced for what it offers. The dishes we ordered (octopus salad, fried kalamari and matsata with shrimps) were all really small for their price. Matsata was disappointing, we were expecting the local handmade pasta and got zucchinis and carrots thin sliced with only 4 shrimps and payed 20€. This is just ridiculous given that all the materials together couldn’t cost over 10€ and that the portion was really really small. Furthermore without even asking us they served as some appetizers which we payed (5 olives, 2 paximadia and some bread). We were made to pay 2€ for 1 liter of water even though regularly it is supposed to cost you 1-1,5€. Also bare in mind that the prices featured in google are not true, at the restaurant everything is about 5€ more expensive. Definitely avoid this restaurant unless you want to spend your money for no reason. Also the service was slow even though there weren’t many customers in the restaurant with us. Every time I return to Folegandros Zefiros is my first choice for fresh seafood and fish. The dishes honour the A grade quality local ingredients in unexpected ways - ceviche and carpaccio are based on local tuna, sea bass or suitable catch of the day, while classics like lobster are grilled to absolute perfection and paired nicely with a choice of Mediterranean salads or spreads (tsatsiki, fava).
