Kallisti hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Folegandros

Thank you dear Malika & team you were amazing hosts! We stayed 7 nights in August and are so happy as we found a new favorite island thanks to your tips and recommendations of beaches, restaurants and activities. We felt warmly welcomed and Kallisti hotel. This place is not just a hotel it’s a much more as the team cares about the wellbeing of the clients as if they were part of the family. It’s not a five star and that’s what I liked aswell. It’s a comfortable hotel that embraces the greek simple lifestyle and ambiance of this beautiful island and that’s what it makes it a true authentic place. We really appreciated the location as we could do all restaurants in Chora the main area by walk and we only used the car during the day to discover the beaches. Anyway Folegandros is small and within 15 minutes drive you are almost everywhere, so convenient. The rooms were very clean and every day we got fresh towels and a cleaned room. AC worked very well and we got tea and coffee and nice l’Occitane products in the shower at our disposal. We also really enjoyed the stunning view from the hotel on the church of Virgin Maria up on the hills, just breathtaking to see this from your bed when waking up in the mornings. We didn’t had breakfast at the hotel as we wanted to try many of the cute restaurants nearby and loved a good morning walk. The hotel transfer from the port and back was arranged by the hotel, that’s very helpful and well appreciated. We will definitely come back soon! Wishing you and your team a great ending season. Great little hotel only a few steps away from the Chora. We booked the large superior room with roof terrace which gave beautiful views to the Chora and church, surrounding area and the sea. Very clean, L’Occitane toiletries, kettle provided on request. Small pool which was usually quiet and very relaxing. The French lady owner and her niece were very friendly and helpful with local information and recommendations. We enjoyed a simple breakfast each morning to which we took our own fruit to add to the yogurt as we like more fruit than came with it. Unfortunately we have to knock off one star as on arrival the room we had booked and paid for had someone else occupying it so we ended up staying at a completely different hotel, at the expense of Kallisti Hotel, for the first night. Beautiful and small quiet hotel. Very Clean. Very quiet. Few rooms, each feels like it's own little apartment with terrace and unique entry. Small pool, relaxing, not rowdy. AC worked well. Breakfast on site. Backgammon and games to play. Beautiful and has some views of the little town, the big church and the sunset. We arrived in the Port and we're greeted by the owner who drove us the short drive up to the hotel. Our room was ready and even came with a free bottle of wine (honeymoon!). The hotel is situated around the corner from the bus stop (v useful) and a 1 minute walk from the walking streets of chora-the main town.
