Taverna To Fagadiko — Restaurant in Municipality of Heraklion

Our Airbnb host gave us the card for this restaurant and told us that it is where we should eat, so we checked it out. We have now eaten there five evenings in a row and will eat there a sixth time tonight. We haven't bothered to find a single other restaurant to try since we couldn't imagine any other restaurant being as good, let along better. And the family that runs the restaurant treated us like regulars, which made it all the lovelier. We just wish we could take them all with us when we leave tomorrow and will miss them and their delicious...

During our stay at heraklion port we went serveral times to this great tavern.

The owner and stuff are so lovely and warm hearted, the view is amazing and the food is unbelievable! It is so, so tasty, fresh and absolutely on point! We highly recommend the greek salad, grilled shrimps and fried calamari. Don't forget to order the tzaziki!

When it comes to pay the bill you should write down the amount including the tips on the receipt or into your mobile phone. Otherwise is could happen that they do not understand that you want to tip them.

Während unseres Aufenthaltes am Hafen von Heraklion waren wir mehrere Male in der Taverne essen. Das Essen ist großartig, ebenso der Ausblick. Die Inhaber und das Personal sind absolut zuvorkommend, freundlich und sie lieben ihre Arbeit wirklich sehr.

Alle Speisen sind dort immer super frisch und erstklassig zubereitet. Wir empfehlen besonders den griechischen Salat sowie die gebratenen Garnelen, als auch den frittieren Oktopus. Das Tzaziki ist ebenfalls eine Bestellung wert!

Sobald ihr bezahlen möchtet und die Rechnung erhaltet, solltet ihr auf diese die Gesamtsumme, die ihr inklusive Trinkgeld zahlen möchtet, neben die Rechnungssumme oder ins Handy schreiben, da es sonst sein kann, dass sie nicht verstehen, dass ihr ihnen Trinkgeld...

Great food, friendly service, and a stunning sunset view from the terrace. We had a fresh Greek salad, juicy grilled chicken, and delicious panseta (grilled pork belly). All were well-cooked, flavorful, and nicely presented. Prices were fair for the quality. Perfect spot for a relaxed dinner...
