Foxtrot — Restaurant in Municipality of Kalamata

Oh wow... What a lovely place this was to find! We had seen it from the outside before, but thought maybe it was a steak restaurant or something (as it's called "Blue Blood" by the door), and in the evening it looked really busy and a bit fancy. Anyhow, after some research we found out it was a great café and cocktail lounge. At Brunch it is very chilled out, beautiful decor, excellent menu and food quality. We plan to go back again, and also try it in the evening when it's more of a cocktail...

We sat there on a Monday afternoon, the bar was almost empty. Still, 2 mix-in-glass 3-ingredient cocktails took more than 15 minutes. Maybe the bartender was away, but no one warned us.

The desserts menu is short, but still, they only had half of the things. The cheesecake is an amateur's work, just the usual 5-minute diy mock with biscuits, mascarpone-like creme, and sour cherry preserves. And it arrived 10 minutes...

Λοιπόν αποφασίσαμε να κάτσουμε σε αυτό το μαγαζί κατά τις 11:30. Η ώρα πήγε 13:20και το φαγητό δεν έχει έρθει ακόμα. Αρχικά καθίσαμε και για 5-10 λεπτά δεν είχαμε ούτε νερό ούτε καταλόγους ούτε είχαν ασχοληθεί καθόλου με την παρουσία μας στο κατάστημα και ό,τι χρειαστήκαμε( πχ νερό) έπρεπε να το ζητήσουμε. Εν τελει μετά από αρκετή ώρα που είχαμε ήδη δωναξει τις σερβιτόρες 3-4 φορές, ήρθαν και παραγγείλαμε. Απο εκείνη την ώρα μέχρι τις 13:20 δεν είχε έρθει το φαγητό. Οταν ρωτήσαμε σε πόση ώρα θα είναι εδώ το φαγητό μας στις 12:40 μας απάντησε η σερβιτόρα ότι έρχεται σε δύο λεπτά! Περιμέναμε 30 λεπτά ολόκληρα! Ξανά ρωτήσαμε λέγοντας ότι βιαζόμαστε και μας απάντησαν ότι σε πέντε λεπτά θα τρώγαμε! Τελικά μετά από 10 λεπτά στις 13:20 τρώμε! Το φαγητό καλό αλλά όχι κάτι το ιδιαίτερο! Μας κέρασαν και ένα γλυκό για την καθυστέρηση, παρ’ολα αυτά η εικόνα μας από το μαγαζί...
