The culinary experience left much to be desired, unfortunately. Our expectations were met only by the zucchini tempura, a delicate delight that stood out. While it was sliced meticulously thin, the desired crispness eluded it, leaving a hint of dissatisfaction. Regrettably, the Ravioli Hungar Begendi was a mere shadow of its eggplant essence, lacking any semblance of the anticipated flavors. A dish renowned for its rich eggplant character and creamy consistency, it failed to deliver either, leaving us yearning for its true essence. The sauce that adorned the ravioli attempted uniqueness but fell into the abyss of tastelessness, leaving a void on the palate.
The Prego pizza mirrored ordinary, mass-produced frozen counterparts, devoid of any distinguishing elements. The lackluster dough, unremarkable ingredients, and uninspiring cheese contributed to its unmemorable nature.
The pork tenderloin, however, took the disappointment to new heights. Dry and devoid of flavor, it left an unfavorable impression. The risotto beneath it suffered from an excess of salt. The rice was excessively cooked and had reached a porridge-like consistency. A risotto should not endure such suffering, nor be subjected to such prolonged cooking.
A perplexing choice was the placement of radishes atop the dishes, an addition that seemed devoid of purpose. The ambiance of the establishment was undoubtedly appealing, evoking a pleasant atmosphere. However, the absence of air conditioning and the bustling crowd led to an unwelcome surge of heat, creating an environment that became increasingly uncomfortable. The service, on the other hand, shone brightly. Attentive waitstaff made frequent appearances, inquiring about our gastronomic journey. A gracious touch was the offer of a mastic liquor shot at meal's end, a gesture that provided a momentary solace amidst the...
Read moreEverything was wonderful the day i went with my wife to this restaurant! The entire staff took excellent care of us regardless of how crowded the place was or how many tables were waiting. The food was incredibly tasty, fresh, hot, generously portioned, and well-presented but above all, absolutely clean. (We tried the chicken with mastihato ceviche, prego pizza, shrimp kadaifi, feta with honey, and for dessert, the chocolate pie.)
The waiters welcomed us with great kindness and smiles on their faces — each one of them made sure we were seated, someone brought us drinks, someone else took our order, and another served our dishes! There was a clear sense of harmony and organization overall (I think there were six of them — three women and three men).
What impressed me most was the homemade bread they offered at the beginning and their homemade drink they gave us with the bill at the end. The cocktails had a lovely taste — we tried the Kalymnian Nectar and the Vasilikos.
If I had to make one remark, it would be about the salt they bring along with the bread and olive oil — the quantity was a bit too much, and the flavor made it hard to fully...
Read moreSeated quickly but waited in excess of 20 minutes for a drinks order that never came. Had to ask to order food. Food quality is good but mains arrived before we’d finished our starters and then had to juggle plates to have them put infront of us! Second drinks order arrived but with a different wine, when asked to change it to the same one it came back ‘topped up’ with a different wine. Service was Slow and disorganised with the manager leading the chaos. We asked for the bill which she brought but then after saying there was a mix up with wine just turned her back to manage another tables payment and went inside as the card reader signal was poor. We followed as were paying by card and without asking had the bill combined and presented when we asked to split the bill she rudely said well you never asked for that so it is there now all to be paid in 1. Unacceptable after a good experience - atrocious after the patience we had with her poor service giving the benefit after visiting in years...
