ΚΟΚΚΙΝΙΔΗΣ ΤΑΒΕΡΝΑ — Restaurant in Municipality of Kalymnos

Shocking failure of service food and Owners accountability! I am not normally prone to leaving reviews but the Owners extremely poor response to low service levels , missed courses, skin burning kebab skewers, and complete lack of delivery has lead me to provide a warning to future potential Customers! The arrogant attitude of the Owner was incredulous tantamount to if you don’t like it don’t come back, despite such horrendous service! Having frequented the restaurant early evening with low customer capacity and ordered our food, with the owner, who apparently doesn’t need to write down the order! it became apparent other recently seated tables were receiving food before us, so pointing this out to the restaurant we received some of the order, and some not plates ordered, ie no written order as stated before,! We waited a further 45 minutes for the rest of the food having chased the staff several times with one skewer arriving at the table so got it burnt the hand of one of the party! Without delay once eaten the bill was requested and having pointed out the extreme failures of service the owners response was if your not happy don't come back, irrespective of the restaurants failures. Im absolutely surprised, why? Im surprised because this establishment seems to be full every night. Let me tell you why im surprised. We reserved a table for 4 at 19:30, after ordering the food the starters came at around 19:50, they were ok. The first 2 main courses arrived at around 21 and the other 2 at around 21:10(?). The food wasnt really warm and after telling the manager about the situation we were greeted with “its not true, i do not accept this” which is probably the worst thing you could answer as a manager in that situation. After further arguing she left us and we then proceeded to eat whatever was edible and left. Been in Greece (we live in Athens) for a while and this place is a remarkable example of how traditions are forgotten. Any Ταβερνα would normally start you off with some bread and end with a small dessert! I can understand inflation and rising costs but for the price they charge I would have expected them to at least offer bread. The best part was the owner explained how no one gives you bread or dessert anymore when it’s offered literally across the street from them and pretty much in every ταβερνα on Kalymnos!
