Mmm - went here on a number of recommendations and unfortunately just didn't live up to my Greek culinary expectations - which admittedly are high, but I was hoping for something outstanding. The view is fantastic, as is the hospitality. Both 5 stars. But the long road to Olympus needs to provide something incredibly authentic on the food side to be worth it. The aubergine salad was delicious - especially with basil in it - slightly odd at first, but it was good. Greek salad was fine - but bulked out with lettuce! - not cool. Unfortunately the mains were bad by my standards. The pastistio ragu was really flavourless - it needs to be rich in bahari! It was made penne pasta - not cool either - which was overcooked. It should be made with proper long pastistio tube pasta (unless in Cyprus). But the bechamal topping was really bad - it should be made with lashings of extra virgin olive oil, set with egg yolk, and dedicated speckled with nutmeg. It was flat white (no nutmeg aroma), no green olive colour, and amazingly (but I might be wrong) it was possibly set with gelatine!! - because it wobbled like a shiny jelly, rather than being light and unxious. This was the same for the moussaka too... albeit the aubergines in that were lovely. I suspect some of this food is made "too much" in advance, and microwaved on-site... which is really really bad... because its piping hot (too hot to eat tight away) and overcooked. Definitely has...

There is a lovely outside terrace with breathtaking views. The food is outstanding and the service was perfect. In a wonderfully scenic atmosphere, we had a fantastic, relaxed lunch here.
Unrelated to the meal and on another day, but I should also thank Anastasia from the kitchen, because when I fell and cut my head, amongst many other people who helped me, it was she who brought me to the doctor and made sure I was alright. Thank...
Read moreAmazing Place. Best Cheese Balls, Greek Lasagna (Pastitsio) and Chicken Souvlaki in Greece!! In a windmill up on the high ridge! Yummy fresh squeezed pulpy orange juice! Wonderful! Great service with sweet happy people! Was very windy! Bring warm clothes if eating in the evening! A bit of a treasure hunt. Can’t drive all the way there so walking a bit. I was a bit worried about Google leading us astray on the crazy dirt road around the back of the mountain. Do not take the last little bit of concrete ramp! Park at the bottom and walk up!! Car kept stalling on the steep slick hill and had to back down to park. Treasure hunt worth...
