This was a really, really pleasant surprise in the village of Olympos. They had daily, organic, vegetarian dishes (with cheese) that were simply irresistible!
You will be able to see the daily dishes from a small window and they will explain everything to you. Their English is really good too!
Most of the vegetables are collected early in the morning from their estate so they really are fresh.
I ended up ordering two daily dishes, around 9 euros per each, and I was SO stuffed afterwards that I didn't think I could walk. They do offer a takeaway, but, I decided to enjoy the food since I had time.
They also have meat dishes on their menu, but I highly recommend you to try the vegetarian ones. So good!
The service was really good and they have a bathroom just under the restaurant.

Read moreThe aroma and sight of the pans of stuffed vegetables in the window drew us to try this place. Well, they taste even better than they look! We've had the stuffed mushrooms (my favorite so far), the Salad Taboo (my friend's favorite), and a dish of a zucchini and eggplant somehow meshed together and stuffed with tomatoes and peppers. What one can't see is the myriad of other vegetables that accompany these stuffed veggies. The taste is wonderful, and they are also beautiful and healthy! These are not on the menu. Go to the window or inside to see what's on offer and cooked fresh for today. They also have the usual favorites, souvlaki, goat, and the Karpathos specialties. It's off season now so they aren't open in the evening except by appointment. We're returning tonight for one of their special dishes...
Read moreAfter a long bus ride along the mountains of Karpathos, we stopped at the main destination of the day: the village of Olympus. After walking up the streets and enjoying the amazing views, we decided to eat before heading back to our hotel over at Pigadia. The food was very tasty and was of high quality, but took a very long time to arrive at our table. Please note that the owner of the establishment has apologized and explained that the restaurant had served over 600 people that day, while it is meant to serve up to 60 people per day, hence the 5 star rating.
It's worth the visit for the view alone and the food definitely makes the visit...
