If you want to experience the real authentic Greek cuisine, this is the place. We ate there 2 times and it was delicious. The personal is extremely kind and patiently walks you through the menu to choose the right dish for you!

Also, many Greeks and locals are eating here and this is always a great sign for the quality of the food and the service!

I ate the fresh fish dish of the day and my husband ate the typical karpathian dish which is made of homemade pasta, onion and local cheese, he loved it.

Also, being pregnant they were particularly attentive to the washing of the vegetables I ate.

Best restaurant on the island, hands down. We had a big party so we ordered family style and ordered just about half the menu and each dish they brought out here was the best version of it I had had anywhere on the island or in Greece. The people that work here are incredibly kind and take great pride in their dishes. Despite the fact we had such a large group they were really patient with us and that meant a lot to us because we had just spent the day travelling. And the restaurant is right on the bay, so there is plenty to look at as you enjoy your food. Great food, great service, great...

Purtroppo, la nostra esperienza in questo ristorante è stata ben lontana dalle aspettative create dalle recensioni lette in precedenza. Nonostante l’apparente efficienza iniziale nel trovarci un tavolo in un locale pieno, tutto è andato rapidamente in discesa.

Avevamo specificato chiaramente, sia in italiano che in inglese, con conferma da parte del cameriere (che conosceva entrambe le lingue), che desideravamo ricevere le portate in sequenza: antipasti, poi primi, infine il secondo. Ma nonostante l’apparente comprensione, ci siamo ritrovati sommersi da tutto insieme un minuto dopo l’arrivo degli antipasti, in un caos di piatti che ha rovinato l’intera cena.

Le lumache di Karpathos si salvavano, ma non abbiamo potuto apprezzarle appieno: siamo stati costretti a interrompere l’assaggio per correre ai Makarounes, già tiepidi al momento dell’arrivo. E il piatto, per quanto tipico, si è rivelato deludente: eccessivamente unto in una versione, asciutto nell’altra, e dominato da una pesante copertura di cipolle caramellate e formaggio che stancava dopo pochi bocconi.

Le polpette di zucchine erano passabili, ma nulla che meriti una menzione speciale. Quanto alla frittura di calamari, è stata semplicemente un insulto: fredda e gommosa, sembrava uscita da un frigorifero piuttosto che da una friggitrice.

A chiudere il tutto, una promessa di frutta mai mantenuta, e un tentativo di riconciliazione con dei liquori scadenti e artificiali che abbiamo rifiutato.

Ci siamo lamentati del servizio e ci è stato detto che c’era troppa gente. Una scusa inaccettabile: se non siete in grado di gestire il numero di clienti, perché continuare a farli accomodare?

Una cena caotica, frettolosa e mal gestita, per un conto di 40 euro a testa che non trova giustificazione né nella qualità del cibo, né nel servizio. Un’esperienza da...
