Wagamama Kifissia is one of my favorite places when I visit Athens. The food is always delicious, made with fresh ingredients (nothing better than having fresh vegetables in your plate), enough herbs and spices to give a distinctive flavor, a huge variety of dishes and great friendly ambience. I have tried almost all the menu, it is hard to decide what my favorite choices are. But I will try at least lol. So here we go with the highly recommended dishes : 1. The bao bans! Either with chicken or beef, you will love them. And the baoban dessert of course with the salted caramel ice cream. 2. the green salad with kinoa and avocado is so fresh and crispy 3. the korean barbecue chicken wings are mouthwatering 4. the noodles with grilled salmon are so flavorsome 5. the white chocolate and ginger cheesecake is luscious. Read moreThe so-called "restaurant" decided to cancel my on-line order, without even contacting me, because I dared to request not to include wasabi, due to allergy. Name me one other food place globally, that throws out customers when they mention any kind of allergy to an ingredient! I have ordered sushi countless times in and outside of Greece and I have never faced any issue, regarding the removal of wasabi from the side of the dish (the description did not mention any presence of wasabi inside the rolls). Also, this is a clear hint that the rolls are probably pre-made and cannot be customized upon request. We’ve been loyal customers at Wagamama Kifissia for years and have always enjoyed our meals—until today. I ordered the coconut broth with salmon and unfortunately, it arrived SPOILED with a terrible smell—clearly ROTTEN!
Thankfully, the waiter was very polite and replaced it immediately, which we appreciated. However, it’s extremely disappointing and unacceptable that the kitchen allowed a dish in that condition to leave the pass.
This kind of mistake is serious and raises concerns about food safety and kitchen standards. I strongly believe that any chef responsible for this should be held accountable or replaced.
