We had a fantastic experience at Kazino in Zia! Everything was perfect — from the stunning setting to the lovely music that accompanied our entire dinner. The service was impeccable, with staff who went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful evening (they even remade a dish for our youngest daughter because she didn’t like a particular sauce — a level of kindness and attention you don’t often find!).
We enjoyed local cheese and naturally leavened bread that could easily be found in a Michelin-starred restaurant. The cod croquettes were divine. We shared an excellent couscous with eggplants, while the kids loved their chicken with truffle and a delicious tuna kebab. The cuisine is refined and creative, yet still respects authentic flavors.
We finished with desserts that were so good they vanished from the table in seconds!

Read moreThe best meal we had during our time in Kos / ever. Firstly, the setting is charming, the restaurant has a tree in the centre with a leafy roof and beautiful wooden tables. It is situated behind a picturesque church with views of the mountains.
The food was delicious with authentic greek dishes and the best moussaka we have ever eaten. It was so excellent that we went back the following day and were given an extra local dish of Okra as the chef remembered that we liked it so much the day previous. The cost was extremely reasonable and we would have paid much more for the tasty food that we had.

What an unusual experience amid the countless taverns serving Souvlaki and Tzatziki across the island. Don’t get me wrong – I love the classic tavern dishes, and there are many wonderful places to enjoy traditional Greek food here.
But this is a different story.
Expect Michelin-level dishes and truly creative cuisine. Go as long as you still can, because it’s only a matter of time before they get hyped — or move to a place where they inevitably will be.
A fantastic symphony of flavors without the pretentiousness. Rooted in Greek grandma’s kitchen, but elevated with a modern twist to reach the level of contemporary haute cuisine.
