We dined at the restaurant on a Sunday evening around 7 PM. While the restaurant wasn’t busy, most tables had been reserved in advance. Even though we hadn’t made a reservation, we were seated at a lovely table with a nice view of Kefalos. The menu was promptly handed to us, and we were given plenty of time to look it over at our leisure. The waiter didn’t approach us to ask if we had made a decision, which contributed to the relaxed atmosphere. We appreciated this approach, as it allowed us to enjoy our time without feeling rushed. When we were ready to order, we had to wave to get the waiter’s attention.
Once we had placed our order, the aperitifs were served first, allowing us to enjoy the start of the meal at a leisurely pace. The Greek salad and pita with tzatziki were of excellent quality, raising our expectations for the main courses. Unfortunately, these didn’t quite meet those expectations. I had ordered a medium-rare beef steak, and my partner opted for a burger. The fries that came with my partner’s dish were soggy, cold, and overly salty. Additionally, we had expected a traditional burger with a bun, rather than just the meat, though we realize we perhaps should have asked. The meat was also overcooked, almost burnt. My dish was flavorful, but the meat contained a lot of fat, which detracted from the overall experience. I also expected a bit more fries served with my dish.
The atmosphere, however, was excellent, as was the staff, who were very hospitable, friendly, and spoke good English. While the food didn’t quite meet our expectations, the dishes served to other guests looked very appetizing, so perhaps we simply made the...
Read moreThe most UNPROFESSIONAL behavior I’ve met in my life. Long story short: I read in the menu that the spaghetti I ordered cost 10 euros. I was charged 19.5 euros. When I brought the menu to the person in charge, she told me that I did not notice the small line under 0 that made it 9…Nevertheless, she admitted that I was correct, this was their mistake and they would correct that in the menus (which I saw them doing). When I asked to give me the 9.5 euros back (besides charging 9 euros extra, they also charged 0.5 euros more) she said that this is not possible…I am pretty sure that other clients were fooled in this way in the past by these EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL owners, who destroy the reputation of the greek hospitality. Being Greek, I strongly recommend people to STAY AWAY from this place and if they do not do so, to be EXTREMELY CAREFUL what they pay. Food was good but due to the abovementioned incident, I cannot give the place more...
Read moreWe stayed at the Pantheon hotel just up the mountain, just a 10 min walk down the mountain to reach this beautiful, easy-going, and tasteful restaurant! When we arrived here a waiter gave us two choices of tables so we picked one. After we sat down for a few minutes, she came with the menu, and we ordered some drinks, starters, and the main courses. I had red pepper with feta cheese as a starter and the kleftiko as the main dish. My girl had cheese balls (sort of saganaki) with honey and sesame seeds. As for the main course, she had the gemista (stuffed red and green peppers). All this food was so delicious that even 5 🌟 is not enough! 7 or 8 stars might the range! Very friendly people and the atmosphere is perfect! Nice music, delicious food, nice waiters... All with all, we definitely...
