⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Truly Memorable Dining Experience at Melissa Restaurant – Kos

Me and my girlfriend had the absolute pleasure of dining at Melissa Restaurant in Kos and it was easily one of the best meals we've had on the island.

We ordered the Ntakos salad, Bekri Meze, Kleftiko, and a carafe of local red wine — and every single dish exceeded our expectations. The flavors were rich and authentic, perfectly balanced, and clearly made with care and quality ingredients. The portions? Generous doesn’t even begin to describe it — each plate came out more abundant than we imagined, ideal for sharing and indulging.

The Kleftiko was fall-apart tender and packed with flavor, wrapped in parchment to keep all the juices inside. The Bekri Meze was spicy, hearty, and perfect with a glass of red. The Ntakos was fresh, vibrant, and the ideal way to start the meal.

What truly elevated our experience, though, was the staff — full of energy, humor, and genuine warmth. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and added a personal, joyful touch to the evening.

Went there for a brunch because of the good reviews, left disappointed. First red flag - the chasers - the staff actively redirects people from the street inside. Second red flag is asking what do we want every minute, the waiter was on our table 5 times during the 5 minutes we were sitting. The food (burger and a sandwich) took 30 minutes to arrive. What we got was warm dry ready-made chips, cold dry burger with melted cheese already solidified, no significant taste, definitely not fresh bun. Other portion was a cold bland dry "club sandwich", what was supposed to be thin slices of meat was a slice of cheap ham. When finally delivered, staff completely lost interest in us, did not even offer drink refill, bill, anything, until we resignated, got up and paid on the counter. Not really a catastrophe, i mean it could be worse, but for sure...

We found Melissa on the beach when we were looking for a lunch spot. I am vegan and it can be hard to find places to eat.. not here though…! They were so happy to accommodate me and tell me what was vegan and everything they did was with a smile. I had vegan souvlaki with a delicious salad and hummus and my partner had a cheese, bacon & tomato omelette.

I’ve loved my experience here and urge anyone visiting Kardamena to check out Melissa on the beach and have food and drink.
