Starlight Beach Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Kos

This place quickly became one of our favourites. We first discovered it on TikTok, where the food, décor, and beach view caught our eye, and it definitely lived up to expectations.

On our first visit, we were greeted by the owner, who was so friendly and chatty, instantly making us feel welcome. We ordered some drinks (which were spot on) and food that really hit the spot. The service was brilliant, honestly couldn’t have asked for better.

When we returned a second time, we met the other owner, who had lived in Leeds most of her life. She was just as warm and down-to-earth as her partner, which made us feel like regulars even though it was only our second visit. We tried the gyros this time, including the vegan one, and it was absolutely delicious.

They suggested we come back in the evening, when the fairy lights are on and the menu changes from the afternoon, so we made it our last stop before heading home. The vibe at night was lovely, with a really relaxed atmosphere, perfect for enjoying drinks by the sea.

All in all, it’s one of those places that just sticks with you. Great food, amazing service, and the kind of owners who make you want to come back again and again. Definitely worth a visit, even if it’s just to stop by...

We have visited Kos for the past three years and have always made sure to visit Starlight after stumbling across it on our first visit to Kardamena in 2022! This year we stayed in Marmari but planned a day trip to Kardamena to get our fix. We made use of the sunbeds on the beach for the first time. We were really impressed, they were so comfy and just a couple of steps from the sea! We won’t the whole day her, arriving when it was relatively quiet at around 9am. The food is always great, offers a variety of Greek and international foods and caters well for us English folk who miss a panini after a week abroad 🤣 Drinks are fab too, and all very reasonably priced. Staff are lovely, especially Jodie, she has always been so friendly on all our visits and makes it clear that there is no pressure to order food / drink when you arrive, you can do so when you are ready. My only criticism would be the shower, the water pressure is not great and the shower itself seems faulty as it sprays all over the place. It would also be useful to have a lower tap just for...

I would give more than 5 stars to this bar if I could! We came here on our first day of holidays, and loved it so much that we kept coming back during our whole stay in Kardamena. Great service and friendly staff. Food fresh and tasty (tried fried calamari, pita bread with dips, gyros plate). And the best thing about this place - James makes badass cocktails! He knows what he is doing, and his cocktails are actually flavorful compared to other ‘popular’ places around. Price is also more than reasonable for the quality.
